Starting bid of $50? Really?

If you'll buy that, I've got a bridge to sell you...

$45. In this auction, the bids actually go down in value.

You fool, the starting bid from IM was mine of 5 dollars. You've already thwarted your very own plan.

I don't understand why you keep addressing her when she explicitly stated that she won't be around to respond to you.

$40. Eventually, the bid might even fall to a reasonable price.

Might've been able to command a higher price if she were to invest in the community a bit, though - instead of just coming here to pawn off her shit...

Yo, I hate mooching people who try to make money off of a community they purportedly hate and have treated rudely in the past just as much as anybody else, but everyone deserves a second chance. I mean, hey, maybe this will be a chance to reintegrate her into proper pillows fanship and community.

Or maybe she's just a huge jerk, who knows.

Either way, I was actually calling you a fool, as you are of course aware.

How she may have acted in the past is irrelevant - it's the express notion that she does not have any interest in further involvement with the community that may prevent those within from investing in her offerings. That's not how you reintegrate, by saying, "I don't have any interest in being here, but you should buy my shit anyway."

I'm not saying she's a jerk for it, just that she shouldn't really expect anything to come out of it. I for one would welcome her or anyone else (Joyeuse comes to mind) back with open arms (as long as we don't make them moderators).

I'm not quite certain why I would be a fool, so you may have to elaborate.

Ummm, it was a joking comment. Just re-read your posts and my posts.

Also, my comment about maybe she'll rejoin the community was another joke, as she's come back a few times only to generally not enjoy her stay, which has been unfortunately facilitated by the attitudes of other people here at points. I too would gladly welcome any pillows fan here provided they keep douchery and trolling to a minimum, as both are fun at points.

I understand that it is a joke - I just can't figure it out. I have already re-read all our posts several times in succession. I'm actually pretty sure your post just doesn't make any sense, but I refrained from calling you out on it out of courtesy.

I posted a joke bid of five dollars, after which you posted a joke bid of 45 dollars and said "in this auction, the bids go down in price," to which I jokingly responded that I had already bid lower and you ruined your own scheme. I really don't get what's so difficult to understand here, lol.

Uh...I don't know what you mean by "joke bid," but I have made no bids, real or imaginary. You are aware that you don't bid here - you bid on eBay, whose opening bids I have been reporting and remarking upon their excessiveness.

It seems somebody has been completely lost.

Yeah, you, because I UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING YOU'VE POSTED.

Edit: Except for the part that rather than making fun of her, you're posting us with updates of where SHE dropped her price to. From the perspective of somebody who only looked at her overpriced idiocy once, and then just continued to read the thread, my responses to you make perfect sense.

Alpaca, Mare and I get into vehement arguments about every month, because he tends to be very defensive, and I tend to be perpetually convinced I am correct about everything (which I typically am).

About nine times out of ten, I eventually prove myself to be correct. Otherwise, it remains unresolved - or, in a few instances, Mare has actually been correct. I usually buy him a cake when that happens. :shred:

(No cake today.)
