no it's Supa Potato straight out of the Akihabra district in Tokyo!
It's actually a mascot for this place me and my brother went to in Tokyo. The store sells alot of old video games and stuff for games. it was a pretty cool shop.

the closest i've been to being immersed in japanese culture was four hours in japantown in SF. T-T

no. but it was really cool. everybody was japanese, and there was a japanese book store. and restaurants other than f-ing sushi bars. i like sushi, but that's not the only good japanese food out there. i had some really good curry at a restaurant. the best i'd ever had - it was actually spicy! the spiciest kind of make-it-yourself curry i've been able to find isn't spice at all.
