Off the top of my head, I have No Self Control, Shiroi Natsu To, Ladybird Girl and Scarecrow. I also have this weird Please Mr. Lostman sampler thingy that's on a mini disc that came with an autograph which I've dated to about '97. And a bunch of issues of The Pillows fanclub mag (technically not a mag, they're only about two pages long).

What about Moon Gold, White Incarnation, Kool Spice or Living Field. I have everything they've ever released in my digital collection but if you're selling these for 10 bucks I wouldn't mind having the actual albums for the novelty factor and for scanning the booklets and inserts.

"Novelty factor"? Am I one of those few people who still enjoy actually owning things?
"Novelty factor"? Am I one of those few people who still enjoy actually owning things?
No. I have a moderatly large record collection because I love Vinyl and the analog vibe. Plus they sound better. CD's don't hold the same appeal for me, they're just plastic jewel cases and they sound the same wether I play the files on my computer or the CD in my stereo.

Re: the pillows marketplace
"Novelty factor"? Am I one of those few people who still enjoy actually owning things?
Isn't the idea of owning something for the sake of owning it sort of novelty-izing it? It seems like you and Spike have the same idea in regards to owning Moon Gold, White Incarnation, Kool Spice, and Living Field. It's "Cool! Now I own this album! I feel good because I own this album! It is an important part of the pillows canon. Hooray." It's not like you're getting any use value out of it, such as ripping the CD and suddenly having new tracks to listen to (you already have the MP3s...unless you plan to get the FLAC format). Now sheer's probably gonna get on my ass, saying that the novelty factor IS the use value for some reason. But I think you know what I mean. "Having it for the sake of having it" seems like a novelty factor to me. Not to say that I think it's a bad thing. I have a copy of Living Field too! I just wouldn't get defensive about it.

p.s don't jump on me but I have a FLAC copy of Moon Gold and don't hear the difference between it and my MP3 rip.

What kind of headphones are you using? (though I'll concede, even if you have decent headphones, audio quality can just be hard to determine for some people. or something).
Still, check yr headphones.

The only headphones I have I use with my Zune. My PC has a 5.1 Surround setup with Sub.

Re: the pillows marketplace
Ok, well I read none of this except for Spike asking if I had Moon Gold-Living Field. Yes, I have those. Might have to charge over 10 for WI and LF because they're in pretty good condition. Also, they're my favorites.

Re: the pillows marketplace
Physical ownership trumps mp3s because you can rip it at any size you want, you can play it back on a stereo and cut out the whole ripping thing (most of us don't have great audio setups on our computers), you get the album art and lyrics/credits/cool photos contained in the booklet. All sorts of good reasons.

If I wanted all 4 as a bulk buy what would you want? (Moon Gold, White Incarnation, Kool Spice, Living Field)
