Re: Artist you're currently listening to.
Thanks for the track list, Tele. Even though it's been a while I just now romaji'd it thanks to you. Anyway, I stumbled upon this beautiful song last night (it's now 5AM, I'm bored as hell, and I realized I haven't been around IM much these past couple of months), so I thought I'd post it here. One more time, One more chance by Yamazaki Masayoshi: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqFftJDXii0It's a pretty old song, around 13 years, and apparently it's pretty damn popular. I really like this song because it reminds me a lot of Hawaiian folk and native music. It also seems to have some kind of.. classicness to it. I can't really explain it, but it has a very likable quality to it.

Re: Artist you're currently listening to.
been listening to a lot of american football, cap'n jazz, algernon cadwallader, etc..
"motivational song" - algernon cadwallader "never meant" - american football "foggy mountain" - algernon cadwallader
if you can get past algernons vocals.. they write some seriously catchy pop music with some seriously interesting guitar work.

Re: Artist you're currently listening to.
after being a fan of american football for so long, i was fucking thrilled to happen upon their first and only full length at a used cd store. it's a great (breakup) album. algernon cadwallader definitely grew up on 90s midwestern emo. The whole WE'RE SO INDIE WE DON'T EVEN NEED A LABEL thing is kind of annoying though, since it makes it harder to get a hold of their records.

Also, Fujifabric Chronicle and Gorillaz Plastic Beach. I'm still sad Masahiko Shimura just up and died.

It's ok, but I think there's too many dual-vocals throughout. I'm just really glad there wasn't another "On the Mayuge" on this album.

Re: Artist you're currently listening to.
Never Meant is one of my all-time favorite songs. Too bad American Football only put out one album, especially considering how few other bands there are with that sort of sound.

Their good live as well.

That song sounds familiar.
I kind of want to see La Roux live but the show is on a Sunday night so I'd be miserable the next day at work. Gak.
