By the way, is there any way I can shoot out an email to reach Sawao or Manabe, because they would be pretty happy to hear what I accomplished with this thing after I had the three remaining pillows sign it! Where did you get Kenji's signature?

This won't work unless you speak fluent Japanese (which I do), but I contacted his office and I actually spoke directly to the man himself. I then arranged to have it signed, and I just got it back in the mail today.

That is pretty awesome. I never really got all excited about signatures from bands/celebrities etc. but that's damn cool. I think if there was one album i'd want to have a signed copy of, it'd be that one. Though poor Jun wouldn't get to sign it.

kenji ueda is a better bassist imo.

Well,

I don't really know how he's making much of a living, he does session work and is a solo artist. His "office" is an apartment in an apartment complex in Shibuya (which I won't disclose the location of for obvious reasons.)

Anyhow, he thanked me for being a fan of him and the pillows, and he said that even though he left the pillows 17 years ago, they are still his favorite band and he goes to their lives occasionally.
When I showed him a picture of the CD and it had only 3/4 of the signatures on it, he said, send it to my office and I promise I will return it to you.

No, I don't live in Japan, but I enclosed an international money order for the amount it would cost him to return it. He didn't have a problem with sending it overseas. He had his secretary go to the post office anyway. According to the package, her name is Naomi Kobayashi, and she signed as Kenji Ueda's assistant.

Holy shit, that's gotta be just about the coolest thing ever. Way to go! That's really awesome of him to do that for you. Suuuper fucking jealous!
