Next show, bro. I'm not giving away Mare's #, THAT is his choice. Box of curry? At the show, why not.

Re: Favorite lyric/line
Some people were discussing 'bout Sawao's lyrics in another thread. Maybe this is a better place?
I absolutely feel the "Yeah's" and the last part of Shiroi Natsu. . . astonishing
GR: This is what I think: I think if, say, I presented you with the lyrics to New Animal, or Scarecrow, or Shiroi, and told you: "Hey check out these Ellegarden/AKG/Sambomaster/Sukima Switch/RADWIMPS lyrics!" would you still be like "OH MY GOD THESE LYRICS ARE AMAZING." ?
Would you be able to recognize the "strength" of Sawao's lyrics if you didn't know they were Sawao's lyrics? It's all 'bout the presentation, maybe the words "an sich" aren't that amazing, but Sawao's voice really brings the emotion. Take the numerous "(oh) yeah's" for example.
NSFB: If anything, being fair would be stripping the lyrics of genre and observing them as what all music really is: a form of poetry. I don't think that way, how can instrumental music be poetry?
I don't think that way, how can instrumental music be poetry?
It's not that the music makes it poetic, it's the lyrics. Most lyrics all follow a certain pattern found in literature that classify them as poems. At least that's what I was taught. Poems are made up of any/all of the following:
Repetitious lines (often found in choruses) Condensed language (almost necessary for music) Imagery A beginning, middle and end Tension/Paradox
That's why I say they should be judged as poetry, because we were discussing the lyrics, not the musical representation itself. Do you see what I mean? I don't want to be vague or come off as obnoxious or anything.
The reason I say it's unfair to judge them as pop lyrics is because it's almost like saying "well, these are JUST pop lyrics, so they don't have to be held to the same standard as *insert whatever other type of lyrics here*..." It's pretty much denying the possibility that they have any merit, at least that's how it came off to me. So that's why I say "being fair" would be judging them as poems, because then we could judge them on the merits they have as pieces of literature, just like any other set of lyrics, and not just "pop lyrics."
Somehow I feel like I'm going to make enemies debating this, and I really hope I don't.
EDIT: I forgot to post my favorite lyric. This is tentative, because it changes depending on my mood, but...
"I always feel like there's a better place for me than here Somewhere out there. I have an ice pick that crushes plastic tears."

No that was well said. I completely agree with you on that. Although I doubt that Lemon Drops has any poetic themes within its lyrics.

Paper triangle. Paper triangle is POETRY.
You can say something is poetry in a metaphorical sense.
Additional favorite line of mine:
Tochuu nan datte shinjitai - I want to believe we're on our way (Hybrid Rainbow)

I think we have a new vocabulary term for the IM lexicon.
The following uses seem to be consistent with the original meaning, and therefore appropriate:
"Dat ass is POETRY. My pen is eager to penetrate its analogical subtleties, to analyze the diction found within the pristine curves of its penmanship, and to tap into that assonant mastery which is thus apparent."
"POETRY!" as an interjection, applicable to such situations as succeeding in an accomplishment, benefiting from a feat of luck, or sexual intercourse.
"That sonnet was POETRY." Well, whatever works.
The term may cover a litany of meanings, including but not limited to: highly evocative, as an artistic work; good, great, etc.; copacetic or satisfactory; attractive, sexually or otherwise; interesting; etc.

Amirite? Just kidding. I'm pretty sure that joke was implicit, but I just made it more implicit.

Re: Favorite lyric/line
"Kowaretemo iin da, speed wo agete yo.. kowaretemo iin da, bokura ga zenbu oboeteru" is my absolute favorite set of lyrics. Second place: the entirety of Kanojo wa Kyou. I do love a lot of Sawao's lyrics. Fool on the Planet and That House really hit me when I listen to them, but no pillows songs have effected me as much as Swanky Street and Kanojo wa Kyou.

If you felt the need to emphasize that one in particular, I have a feeling that many of the puns went well over your head.

*buzzer sound* Wrong.

"My pen is..." Gee, "pen is" looks a lot like penis. OH WAIT! "...penetrate...analogies" Yeah, don't need to say anything. "...to analyze the diction..." Come now, that's just obvious. "tap...assonant..." Okay, I think I've picked this apart enough. There are more, but you know where they are as well as I do.
They are skillfully placed, at any rate. Bravo, sir. Bravo.
