Re: Have You Ever Been to a Pillows Concert?
I think Ashinow revived it. So you're off the hook.
And yeah, I was at that show, too. It's really awkward going to see your favorite band and finding half the people looking like they're showing up to an anime convention.
Right? But nothing could ruin the atmosphere when the band started playing. It's like a sperm trying to fertilize an egg...it just doesn't happen too often unless you're not...well, this analogy already sucks, so let's just end it here without all that awkward stuff. Too late.
Does anyone remember what the first song the pillows played was? In regard to the first concert you went to, I mean.
The first song they played in Chicago when I went was Sad Sad Kiddie, I think.

I think it was Stalker? NYC Knitting Factory 2006.

Re: Have You Ever Been to a Pillows Concert?
I've been to a pillows concert twice! Once in 2005, and the other time in 2006. Both at the Knitting Factory.
Mind blowing shows. Mind blowing.
I talked to Sawao briefly, and he always enthusiastically answered with a big "OH KAY!".
Not sure if he understood me or not, but he definitely got the gist. Does anyone remember the first song they played in 2005 at the KF?

I can see him saying that in my head and it's hilarious.
No, I haven't been to one- I'm still punching myself in the face for missing BOTH Chicago shows. I'm dead-set to make one of the shows on the upcoming tour though.

It was. I don't know if it's just me or what, but it seems like whenever they played a song, even if it wasn't one of my favorites, it became my favorite when they sang it live. After I went to that concert I listened to Sad Sad Kiddie and Come Down so many times.

Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Please stop torturing me! 1. They're coming to the USA, everyone is all like 2. They've been to the USA before, and people already went to their shows and had their time of the life, and now everyone is telling all those kool stories. *sigh* I've never seen them live. But man it's really worth it, isn't it? What are the odds they are coming to Europe anyway? Darn, I'd really like to go see one of their shows, it would be my first concert, frankly.

Somehow I don't remember that one too well. The only ones I remember them singing for sure were Come Down, Sad Sad Kiddie, Hybrid Rainbow (I'm not sure, actually, but I imagine they did), Terminal Heaven's Rock and Advice at the end. Did they do Runner's High, too? I have a really shitty memory.
I do remember when they played Terminal Heaven's Rock I was like "OH SHIT!" because that song makes me think I can dance, when in fact, I dance like I'm having seizures. I got a few concerned looks, but it was win for the most part.
EDIT: I think they played MY FOOT too. You probably know better than I do, Jomei. My pillows senses were not in tune that day. They were obscured by the sheer amount of excitement; I'm sure you understand.

They played I Think I Can first, but before Sawao played "If your going to San Fransisco" just before playing the first few chords of I Think I Can. AND IT IS DAMN FUCKING WORTH IT!
