I'm all about Sappukei. The production on that album is top notch. They teamed up with Dave Fridmann(sp?) who works with the Flaming Lips, and was an engineer on weezer's Pinkerton. Real solid work.

Really all their albums rule. I just discovered them and it was incredible how much I was missing.

Rape =/= skill, prestige, valor, success, winning, achievement, glory.

I know it's sort of part of our young, "that's so gay", gamer culture, but we should probably think about the words we use. Because I do know co-opting the word "rape" to mean something "good" or "awesome" [b]really does feel like a slap in the face to rape and sexual assault victims[/b]. And there ARE a lot of rape victims out there - more than statistics will show us.

Maybe it's sort of like if you said: "Oh man, check out Tabuchi totally Jew-gassing the solo in this video!" - except in this case, rape is something that's still with us, and far too common in this day.

I know that people like us aren't supposed to care about language: "Shut the fuck up you niggerfaggot, our team is going to rape you and give you AIDS LOL." Though I'm really not trying to be the language police here (lawd knows I'm not the most politically correct myself), but I think how we use "rape" could use some additional thought and consideration.

Yeah, actually on the solo itself...we've definitely seen Tabuchi hit that solo much better before. I'm pretty sure Sawayakana Ensou has a better performance of it.
