I'm standing at the urinal doing my business when this little dude with scruffy black hair starts using the urinal to my left. I glance left. Then I glance again ... oh hey, it's Sawao! So there I am, standing there, urinating in unison with Sawao Yamanaka.
I bet you told terra more details than that.

I made it to ACEN, but I didn't get to see the show and the staff chased us away from the signing when the program said there was still half an hour to go.
So if catching a fleeting glimpse of them two hundred feet away around an ACEN staffer's head counts as attending one of their concerts, then yes I have!

are you going to tell your story?
So Terra and were at one of the 78 bars we hit during SXSW waiting for the Pillows' set. After my 2nd Heineken, I decided to relieve myself. I'm standing at the urinal doing my business when this little dude with scruffy black hair starts using the urinal to my left. I glance left. Then I glance again ... oh hey, it's Sawao! So there I am, standing there, urinating in unison with Sawao Yamanaka.
Oh man, if that isn't a kodak moment, I don't know what is. You should have got out your camera phone, I would have paid big bucks to see that.

NO But you guys better enjoy their shows this year to the fullest! And try to beat these legendary moments:

are you going to tell your story? So there I am, standing there, urinating in unison with Sawao Yamanaka. Now how many people can say that! Of course, nothing will beat the reaction from Terra when Sawao walked up behind her with his video camera as she was taking pictures of Noodles' performance. Her jaw hit the floor .. well the grass. :!:
Re: Have You Ever Been to a Pillows Concert?
I went to Chicago and saw them in Logan Square Auditorium for their My Foot tour. The place was kind of crappy in terms of atmosphere, but things went uphill quick when Sawao got on stage and introduced each one of the band members. In fact, they all walked right past me when I was standing in line. It's like they didn't know how awesome they are, but they know.
THEY KNOW!

Re: Have You Ever Been to a Pillows Concert?
Similar to WCSiNx's story, during the Budokan after party I was struggling to make a decision on whether or not I should use the squat toilet for the first time, I really had to go! I decided not to because I feared the repercussions of missing. As I walk out of the bathroom, Sawao was waiting in line to use it next, so I'm definitely glad I decided not to go hahaha! Stupid yet funny, a run-in with Sawao in a Tokyo bathroom. Cheers.

I'm beginning to see a trend, and I'm not sure how to feel about it...
Whoa, way to revive a 5 year old thread, guys.
Is it a good or bad thing? I'm new, so I just figured I'd post my experience. I also plan on going to a concert this year, but I'm waiting for tour dates to be announced. I'm fairly excited.

This is back when I was a very, very stupid noob who thought I was one of like 10 fans of the band. That, and I was very naive to believe someone actually saw them in the UK. Thanks for digging this out kid!!1

Re: Have You Ever Been to a Pillows Concert?
I was just caught up in all of the excitement and posted. I didn't know what I was doing!
Be gentle.
No, but seriously. At my concert there were a few guys/girls running around with Naruto headbands, thinking the pillows were Asian Kung-Fu Generation. Needless to say, rage ensued, but was not consummated. Instead, I went and drowned my rage-induced sorrows in pillows merchandise and the toilet. But that is a tale for another day.
HAHA! Pee-chan, indeed.

I think Ashinow revived it. So you're off the hook.
And yeah, I was at that show, too. It's really awkward going to see your favorite band and finding half the people looking like they're showing up to an anime convention.
