Hi guys, happy holidays and hope you're doing well!

Just in time for Christmas I have great news from Pillows land! After a few months of decision-making and planning, Avex is turning the Facebook (and to a lesser extent Twitter) account over to my team and I with the end goal of creating the largest fan following possible using an array of band content on an on-going basis. There are a few fan pages already in existence, but I'll be sure to drop the URL for the official page here once its live, don't have it quite yet...

The page will be updated with tour dates, SETLISTS, translated interviews, photos of all sorts, music, links to videos, links to merch, and eventually behind the scenes content in true social media web 2.0 fashion. Since we will have consistent contact and updates from the label, we can honestly intend for the Facebook to become a one-stop for all international Pillows fans, something the English side of the main website is not due to infrequent updates and minimal translations.

To every person in this community, please contribute! I'm counting on your passion for and interest in the band to fuel the material collection from Avex! Mare has decided to sticky this post so that on a continuing basis, you can post any feedback on the content appearing on Facebook, new and old content you'd like to see translated, and any ideas for future material (like what the behind the scenes videos should capture!!). Here's a short list of what we can start collecting on our end now:

*All interviews you'd like to see subtitled or translated, from Youtube videos, magazine articles, podcast/blog posts (Jun's blog/Poison Rock 'N' Roll). Got any in particular you want to see translated??

*Fan photos of the band, or of the US shows, and of course the Japanese shows for those of you who've done that!

*Generally, anything the Japanese portion of the main website has but the English portion doesn't have.

*Links to fan generated Pillows content, for example links to the cover videos of this past summer, Tidus your many piano covers, Grey your vids, etc. The Facebook is an official page AND a community, so the more fan interaction and sharing, the better.

There are lots of great ideas that are coming together. Next year will be a special year for us, trust me, so lets do this page justice. Please contribute, anyone and everyone is invited. If you don't have a Facebook page, make one and join up as soon as I post the link! A quick funny story for you....when Facebook started my senior year of college I hated it and wanted no part of it. My ex-girlfriend made an account for me hahaha. 3+ years later, I'm using it professionally to promote my favorite band, who knew? Who else hates Facebook Join in on the social media fun, its only getting started.

This sounds like a great idea. I also hate(d) Facebook, it's nice so that family members don't nag about how you never call them.

Negative I'm not posting on Twitter, but the two accounts can be synced these days so I'm waiting to see how they want to proceed. I'll still be friend finding on Twitter at least. And Raid, nothing like having both your mother and father on Facebook poking you huh? There is no such thing as privacy on the Internet hahahaha. Seeing my mother on Facebook is a funny thing.

Any specific interviews guys? Do you have any links to some or would know which magazine I can refer them to for translation?

The ongaku to hito from around Pied Piper that has an interview with all the members including Jun was really awesome, I read through it a few times but never worked up the energy to make a translation.

Gotta say, despite my recent negativity, I'm glad this is happening, and I'm glad you're a part of it. Let's see where it goes...
