Re: Post your songs.
Here's three songs I wrote 2007-2008-ish. These are songs I'm hoping to record once I form some sort of band. I can't sing worth a damn, and the recordings are of poor quality, but I just want you guys to get a little taste of the songs I write. There's also a Nirvana cover thrown in for the hell of it. Re: Post your songs.
Did a pretty decent nearly-full version of the last song I posted. Drums are sequenced, I don't have a bass, and my amp is sitting in storage in NJ, meaning I had to record the lead with a shitty practice amp with terrible tone and too much overdrive that I can't get to sound how I want. Oh yeah, and a sore throat for the past week, lol. http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?04jwnwrnynm

Re: Post your songs.
Here's my one session cover sampler of what's to come for LIBERTY... http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NDOLYF8YEnjoy I plan to cover the whole song by recording things seperately (in the most amateur way possible) and mixing it together but the sound quality won't be great since I don't have any recording equipment. Soo that sucks..

Re: Post your songs.
Listening to: "Born as flowers". . .in the beginning I thought you'd do a cover of "Chelsea Hotel" of the pillows, sounds very similar. After one listen, I've to say. . .not bad , though imo there could be a little more power in you voice, @1.59 in particular. . .it sounded like you had too little time to breath. Listening to: "World as I see it" . . . It didn't get me as quick as "Born as flowers". After one listen: I think the concept is rather good, but there can be improvement on some points. I thought the intro was a bit too long and overall the guitarplaying was kinda monotone. Again there could be slightly more power in your voice, and in this one it sounded you're voice was a bit shaky. I'd like to hear some arangement with percussion instruments (like djembé or congo) in this one. But man, I've got to say you've got some talent there and I enjoyed "Born as flowers". Keep up the good work.

Re: Post your songs.
Thanks man, i really needed an opinion on these songs, but friends are just like, "it's really good" and other shit like that. it's good to get other opinions, so i thank you! now as for "Born as Flowers" my mic kept breaking up and wouldn't capture alot of the singing.....really pisses me off and the only part i couldn't edit without messing up was the part at 1:59.......and by power you mean more emotion or just louder?
As for "World as i see it" i also need to improve it....the begging IS too long, but i never realized it till i heard it myself when you mentioned it. I was kinda going for a spooky singing in that song, but yes, my voice was shaky in a lot of parts.... as for the monotone guitar play, i really have the shittyest recording system ever, so i cant add another guitar.....i have to play and sing at the same time... i just don't know where to get a program that allows me to use like different instraments...i'd really like to add voilins and pianos in my next song i'm writing.
so if anybody could suggest a program like garage band and one that you can create any music, sound, etc. then that would be the best!
oh and i bought a new mic today, so i will be re-recording those 2 songs sometime this weekend.

I use Cakewalk music creator 5, it works pretty well for me.
by power you mean more emotion or just louder?
more emotion in particular, you could do that by adding some more volume. . . . add a bit more Sawaoesque emotion, and it would be alright.
Yeah...didnt exactly expect a pillows forum to be the best place to post punk music. oh well, I tried.
If you honestly think that this sounds like a Tony Hawk soundtrack, that's probably the only listening experience you've had with any punk anyway...
omg are you sneakers?
with all due respect buddy, I don't think ya have had too many real "punk experiences"- judging from the evidence provided by this (now bookmarked) myspace page. think of the last time you did heroin in the bathroom of a club- how many people were trampled to death in front of the stage, and how many of them did you have sex with that night- dead or alive- ?
you guys look like you're afraid of cigarettes

Re: Post your songs.
yeeeaahh if guys like GG Allin were the only people who played punk rock, that'd be true. but he's not so...
