Favorite Solos
I've been hesitant to make this thread because I was positive that it had been made before. But to my suprise I couldn't find one, so I thought that I'd might as well make one myself. Anyways, list your favorite solo(s) from the pillows! Para mi, I have a four-way tie that includes: Tenshi Mitai ni Kima wa Tatteta (Awesome rockin' solo thats full of energy and really pulls an already awesome song together that results in an orgasmic experience) I think I can (Again, an already awesome song that is complimented by an orgasmic solo. I originally fell in love with this song because I associated it with the intensity of FLCL, the intensity that a lot of people miss because they don't give the series a second look because of the unusuality of it. I like to think that the pillows were trying to convey just that when they were writing this song/solo) Patricia (This whole song is one great triumph for the pillows imo. Its a very emotional song that's been very dear to me since the first time I heard it. The solo just takes this song to a whole nother level, and Manabe sure knows how to use his wah!) Something A Romance (I wouldn't feel right without giving a shout-out to "the pillows' jazz era". Being one of the pillows' longer solos (because as I hate to say it, the pillows are notorious for their short solos) one can't help but love it. It also seems a bit more musically complex then most of ther solos, especially comparing it to their newer stuff. Also, its just amazing how the solo seems to erupt from the chorus, then teases you with a fake ending at 2:48~)

Re: Favorite Solos
This is another one of those threads where I can't pick one or even several songs... I'll try though:
"I Am an Outsider" from 90s My Life RETURNS has a really awesome staccato solo.
"My Foot" has the dual solo, which is very neat for a pillows song.
"Scarecrow" is another song where the solo actually adds a lot of meat to the song.
"Last Dinosaur" is just... epic. That solo is pure win.
"No Self Control" is the kind of song that sometimes makes me want to jump up and yell "OH YAER!" But it's usually not the chorus that does it... it's Sawao's OH YAERS powered by Manabe's guitar solo towards the end of the solo itself.
Other than those, think most of the very best solos have been covered.
That said, I think the "New Animal" solo is neat. Not anything amazing, but close to "the best it could've been for said song".

Re: Favorite Solos
I fail to see how those two posts you quoted make Sheer a hypocrite in anyway.
