I kind of want to put the lyrics to the song in the description of the video, so that people who can't understand japanese can get the meaning of the song, and appreciate it that much more. I already sent Terra an e-mail about this, but maybe I could get a faster response here. Could I get permission to use the lyrics to Strange Chameleon on my YouTube entry's description?

The dancing was different.. The melody was nice, but the vocals were
terrible. I was annoyed and couldn't listen anymore. The video was funny though

Yeah I'd say the mediocre vocals go hand in hand with the hilarity of the video. It wouldn't be as good if the vocals were better.

Hey guys. I am a little puzzled about the reactions to my video. I didn't think it would make people uncomfortable. I know some folks liked it but it seems like most people think just using the song is a no-fly zone. I guess I could use some advice here.

Should I take it down and replace it with a version that includes my vocals? I sang it earlier today and started to edit them in... I think it will be alright for a non-vocalist. (heck of a song to try and sing >_<)

Should I just leave it alone? I feel disappointed now but it would kill me if it dropped even further in score.

I just need a break from it for today. I'll get right back at it when I get up tomorrow. I'm trying to stay positive about this as I am very happy with the video, just the act of participating in something as cool as this is a victory for me. I just got a bit blindsided here by a hole in my execution and I want to patch it up.

Cloudy, I would just leave it alone. Its already really late in the competition and you don't want anymore delays.
Its a good video and as long as your in the contest, that's all that matters. I'm not so sure I'll make it to the top 20 but I'm glad that I got a chance to do something like this. Let it be

Karaoke style is not "mouth along style." Blank's right, the entry is actually invalid as a cover, since it's not a cover in any way, shape, or form. That's probably why it got such bad ratings.

Technically I suppose it would be invalid, but it's a fun video to watch still. Not everyone can sing. Now I don't know if I can, but I will be doing a "karaoke style" video myself, and record the vocals tomorrow. All I really have to do is edit the video. So I don't know how well my singing will be, but I'm going to try my best and hopefullyyou guys will like the video too. It's taken about a week to shoot everything, but I'm excited at how it will turn out!

@Mare, yeah I guess your right, but I don't think they will mind so much. Its just a fun video,
but it won't make it to the top 20, so the matter of being legible, doesn't really matter now.
If he did re-upload with his vocals, sure he'll get more views and a better rating and be able to compete, its a little
too late in the competition. I'm not even going to be able to make it into the top 20

Its just a fun and great experience now, I enjoyed working with fellow Busters!

Yeah that was a bit of an oversight, alright... But I'll get my vocals up soon.

August 16th is the view count tally day, correct? August 1st is just the day they stop accepting submissions. I'll be ok with whatever I get. Coming into this I knew that I wasn't going to be able to submit it as soon as I wanted to because of a big school project that I had to work on until the beginning of July. That considered, I'm happy to have gotten it done in such a time.

I'm alright now.
