Can we get something together in case any one of us wins the contest, and we can present the CD as a gift?? Most posters here have already submitted a song, what do we say??

It seems to me that at this point pretty much everyone has either already sent in their entry or will not be competing in the contest, so it's about time we hurry up and get to work on this. I've extracted the audio from GR's/my cover, so that can be used as one track for the album. Let's get started on the other ones, kids.

Someone should be in charge of getting things in order. Like that person would keep in touch with
every group, making sure that everything is going smoothly.

I think we should make this exclusively a tribute album, rather than a bunch of videos. Unless that was the original plan, then let's do this.

I have a very light workload this term. I would love to design booklet graphics. Would you guys like to have photographs of album participants in it? Suggestions, ideas, comments, questions, talk to me anytime. AIM or email. dsalgado@ducom.tv.

But yes, now is the time for the musicians on here to make some progress.

Anyone who is finished with their song and would like me to start designing your page, please feel free and think of something you might like. Get your best camera, find a cool place in town (or your room, whatever) and go nuts. Tell me what you think and plan out what resources you would like to send me.

Tell me what you think. Keep in mind, even if an IMer doesn't win, it wouldn't be for nothing. The very next time any of us gets an opportunity to see them, BAM, that person gets it in the mail (or just prints out all the designs on their own).

And each submitter can design their own little page for the booklet from the CD, correct?

And just so I can keep track of deadlines....who is in charge of this and where is it being organized, finalized, and pressed/printed? We have limited time, lets get on it before the 16th of September!!

I am not going to bring a guitar (or anything of similar value) to school until I am acclimated to the surrounding environment, so consider my Hybrid Rainbow cover as my part in this (for now, at least). I can arrange and sequence MIDI, as well as existing audio files, though.

Sorry for jumping on on this super-late, I don't know if you just wanted to do this yourself or not, Cloudy, but I could help in this as well. I had one of those, once. Ninth grade, I believe.

3rd trimester sophomore year of high-school:

1. Genres of Literature (read a chapter of something, watch a movie for a couple days)
2. Study Skills (lolz)
3. Computer Applications (lolz)
4. Film Literature (Watch a movie, "critique" it. I know a kid who LITERALLY slept every day and didn't take the final and still passed)
5. Sociology (Only one worth calling a decent class)

I know it's really late and everything, but we should probably atleast deliver the ones we had. I'm gonna try to fix some errors in our Strange Chameleon cover, and just send you guys that for the CD if it's okay.

I can do piano covers for a couple of their songs (One Life, Kono, Patricia, She's Perfect, New Animal)...

But really now, it's starting to get close here. Everyone's done submitting for the cover contest so we should be shifting energy to working on this thing for real now. A lot of the songs have already been signed up for... so I guess we just wait now.

If needs be, I'll sequence out some drums I guess.
