Bokura No Harei Susei and Skeleton Liar, I'd like to show interest in those for bass, but if anyone else wants in before me, be my guest.

Well, since I posted tentative interest in both yesterday, make Robotman yesterday's and Marguerite today's. It doesn't seem like anyone else particularly was jumping on them anyway.

To be fair, and I know it sounds silly, but you have to pick either guitar or vocals to sign up for, rather than both.

Doesn't sound silly. We want as many people in on this as possible. I meant vocals, but I didn't specify that. I'm available for guitar as well, and I'm also willing to swap parts on anything if someone wants. Basically I'm flexible, but put me down for the vocals.

Well, I kind of want to do Manabe for Ice Pick, but at the same time, I'm wondering...
Is there a deadline for all of this? I might be getting my new amp in about a week hopefully, and start recording with an actual mic instead of putting the guitar straight to the computer, but then there's things that have been keeping me a bit busy.
So I'm just wondering, when should all of the recorded parts be sent in? By what date I mean. If it's far off I'll take Manabe's Ice Pick guitar too, but if you guys want it kind of fast, then I'll just stick with my other two songs.

That's a good question. Really, it's up to the individual groups to decide their own deadlines, as well as whether or not they will be submitting the video to the copy band contest. However, I think we can all agree that this project should be finished by the end of this summer, so there's still time.

So should we take a video or just record?

Well, I'll take Ice Pick Manabe, pretty sure I can get it all done by then.

I think it depends whether you want it to be for the contest or just for the album. The contest says "Winners have to appear clearly on the movie," but I'm not sure if they will accept an mp3 with an image of the band members as the video or anything like that.

I think the idea is to make a movie, so we can put it on YouTube or something. However, once again, it's really up to the group if they just want to record the song - we can still upload it to YouTube. It's understandable if someone is camera-shy, or just doesn't have the capability to record video, particularly in conjunction with audio.
