I think backing vocals could be shared between the other members, we could all pitch in where there are parts that need backing up.

Here's the problem encountered by native-English speakers (in my case, at least): Sawao's English lyrics, though charming, are sometimes pretty awkward...so singing them in a fluent American accent sounds sort of...weird. It reminds me of itaffy's covers.

Do you really feel comfortable singing that with your regular Joe accent?
Or think about the line "JUST RUNNERS HIGH!" Somebody stop me if I'm being an irrational purist here, but there's so much integrity in the way it's originally sung by Sawao ("JASS' LANNAHZ HIGH!")...so singing it without an accent sounds a little off.

Maybe I'm totally backwards today, but that's how it seems to me. It's not a huge problem, but it definitely stands out most on Subhuman and Advice. I think Ice Pick would be a good choice...although I'm not sure we have tabs for it yet. And I sure wouldn't trust myself with tabbing this. One choice would be do choose something in the Best Of score book. If we wanted to keep that "more obscure than Hybrid Rainbow" vibe, we could go for Babylon Tenshi no Uta. Hm. If we wanted to go classics, Strange Chameleon would be good.

I haven't seen any tabs for Ice Pick yet, and i've been looking at PPGTY where manabe plays, but nothing yet. So I guess we could do Strange Chameleon, considering it is a classic and it's the 20th anniversery of course

Let me just say that 1) Judy is a beast of a guitarist
2) An artistic reinterpretation would be so much more fun than a straight up copy cover.

I mean think about it. Even if we perform it really well, it'll still just be...Ice Pick. Or whatever. I mean that's cool, it's just...Ice Pick.

I suggest we think about really changing gears on the style. Bossa Pick. Metal Pick. Reggae Pick.
