the pillows 1989 PV
Looks like the PV is out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvEW1m9LAVs The audio track is nice and clear in high quality. Sawao's vocals are impressing me on this one. The video is animated, and I think it's very beautiful. It's a lot more original and tasteful than Go! Go! Jupiter's PV, in my opinion. Buster-kun's in it too.

That was really awesome, I liked how they did the PV.

Re: the pillows 1989 PV
I watched it again, and now I think I understand the chorus. The astronaut character is trying to speak to the aliens when Sawao sings "Please catch this my song." I think it's just implying that the astronaut really wants someone to notice his words, but fails, and he eventually gives up.

Re: the pillows 1989 PV
Yeah, that's kind of what I got too. Like the astronaut is trying to become friends with the aliens, but the aliens see him as an outsider and not one of them, so they ignore him and go on with their business.

Re: the pillows 1989 PV
the pillows are still one of Japan's best. That's what this song tells me.
And that PV... excellent.

Damn, nice song. Kind of takes a while for it to really get going, but when it does and Sawao starts belting out that final chorus, it's really awesome.

Re: the pillows 1989 PV
Wow, wow, wow. This PV just blew Pied Piper and WUX3 and My Foot out of the water. Maybe thats a bit much. Still, I love it, its just so perfect, easily the best in 2-3 years. Sawao's voice is doing well too. The pillows are still #1!!!!!! Oddly enough, this is my 1111th post. I'll mp3ify it if anyone wants it.

Re: the pillows 1989 PV
I like this song, but it feels too much like Shiroi Natsu how it is calm up until the end where he yells the chorus. I'm not all that impressed by 1989, but I'm certainly not disappointed. It's a solid song. And I've been saying "catch this my song...." all night now. Also I've been diggin' outer space for the past year pretty hard, so it was a nice surprise to see an RCS on the astronaut's spaceship. Little details like those don't go noticed about spacecraft by most people.

Personally, I think it's more like Smile without the heavy bit in the middle. This is a great song for sure, though. When I heard the first release of the song, I wasn't too blown away, I thought the studio version would sound better. I was right. This song is a lot better with the PV, too. It's a good concept, and the music coordinates well with the video, especially at the end.

Re: the pillows 1989 PV
I loved this pv. I sort of took the story/video as a giant analogy on how the pillows succeeded with their music. What do you think? Why would 1989 be there? (And yeah this pv would go great with Smile )

"Please catch this my song" What do you think he means here? oh boy terrible engrish.

I think it's supposed to be him singing in 1989 wanting people to listen and enjoy his songs. He wrote but nobody seemed to care, and he's pleading for people to care and to listen because it was his gift and all that he could offer.
