Slumdog Millionaire
is fucking awesome. Seriously, just go see it; if you don't like it, there's something wrong with you.

Re: Slumdog Millionaire
One of the best goddamn movies I've ever seen. Aside from the Dark Knight, this is a movie that has generated a TON of word of mouth advertising, just like this. Go see it.
And MAAAD props for using M.I.A.'s music properly. Pineapple Express? Psh, eat a dick. This movie rocks the M.I.A. really well.
One of the best movies I've seen this year - don't judge it by the trailer, the trailer makes it seem overly feel-good. Trust me, it's intense.

Yeah, literally one of the best movies I've seen in several years, and probably the best thing playing right now. The storyline is great, the music is awesome, and the emotions are fucking INTENSE. Definitely a must-see.

Oh good... I already thought it sounded interesting. I dunno if it's playing near me though.

Re: Slumdog Millionaire
Most definitely the best movie I've ever paid money for in a theater.
Seriously amazing stuff. I don't like MIA, but the music was really put to good use in the movie, it's a brilliant film.

Re: Slumdog Millionaire
I just watched it and almost had a fucking heart attack. It was refreshing to see a movie with a point. It was well constructed and the story was fucking awesome. Best fucking love story ever.

Re: Slumdog Millionaire
Ok, I fucked up. I watched this today and enjoyed the hell out of it, but before returning it to Blockbuster, I figured I'd let my mom and brother watch it while I was at work. So when I got home, I asked mom if she liked it, and she said "no, I didn't care for it." It totally slipped my mind that she is NOT OK with emotional, intense scenes with violent tones, and after I asked if she liked the ending, I flipped out when she said she stopped watching after the train escape sequence. (The evil prick who blinded the one child shocked and offended her). Now I have no idea why, but I got so fucking angry that she stopped watching and went into jerk mode and said some nasty shit. WTF, I'm RAGING at my MOTHER for NOT LIKING A MOVIE. Come on now, that's pathetic. I'm fucking ashamed of myself. I thought I had that "Snob Crusader" self vanquished. Why am I still lashing out like an ignorant child? Perhaps I still am one. An apology is in order. But about the movie itself, hey, did I miss something or did they forget to show how he got on the game show in the first place? I know he gave a reason why he was on the show, but I might've missed an explanation on how he made it onto the show.

Re: Slumdog Millionaire
This movie bored the fuck out of me. Then again, I didn't make it past the first third of the movie before losing interest and doing other things.

I was vague on that too, I thought it was going to be explained in the scene where he was covering for his coworker (who wanted to call in himself to get on the show iirc) but then he just looked up phone numbers.
