The most amazing anime OP/EDs ever
There's always something about anime theme songs and ending songs that have people listening for years. Post your favorite ones!
I'm so tempted to put Cowboy Bebop's theme on here, but there has always been a more epic theme in my heart: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xo6GWfIQamA

Now, that is not what op-ed is.
Also, that video's music is exactly what I would expect a Japanese television show theme to sound like.

And yes, that video WAS the epitome of generic anime opening theme. Here's a better bet. H.T., from Trigun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzHe4U5c5OcIt's like Black Dog, only different.

Re: The most amazing anime OP/EDs ever
My comment was in jest, but for the record, op-ed actually means "opposite (from the) editorial (page)," and generally refers to the opinions articles only, and not the editorials. See? You learned something today, from my endless store of random knowledge.
For the record, GR's video is somewhere in the ballpark of 50-100 times better than Alu's.

And yeah, H.T. is the bomb. It's like they took Black Dog, kicked it's ass, sped it up, and consolidated everything. Black Dog is still great in its own right, it's a total stomper. But H.T. is definitely up there.

Oh man, the Trigun OP was awesome. That series was just fantastic, and I can totally hear the similarity to Black Dog.
It still doesn't best my beloved Cowboy Bebop, though.

It's not anime, but the end credits to Portal win pretty hard in my book. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6ljFaKRTrI

Eva OP is pretty classic. Also Lupin, both the original and second series.

Cowboy Bebop is classic, I also like Lain, Gunslinger Girl... I actually really like FLCL's approach to not having one. Excel Saga is amazing as well.
Endings - Welcome to the NHK!

Re: The most amazing anime OP/EDs ever
Portal exposed me to Jonathan Coulton's other songs. He's a very good songwriter.

Re: The most amazing anime OP/EDs ever
Weird...I was just gonna link the Baccano! OP. Just heard about the series today, started downloading it. If it's anything like the intro, it will be totally awesome.
