Re: Pied Piper Go to Yesterday DVD
So after re-watching this a couple of times, I realized on the first DVD, right before No Self Contol, Sawao teases Lorelei. I don't know why I didn't catch it before, but it hit my like a ton of bricks the second time around. I wonder if the band practiced Lorelei at all for these shows, and just didn't play it... Anyways, here's the main reason for this post. Apparently, I always make things too difficult when doing things and miss the obvious. I found a much easier way to rip the audio from these DVDs than the way I was trying before. I simply got an 1/8" plug audio cable, hooked it up between my MP3 recorder and my laptop, and boom, audio files. So now you can listen to Akani tobira no mae de on the drive, which is of course what I'll be doing tomorrow. Here's the link to download a .zip file of the MP3's for the "Tour Lostman Go To Yesterday" disc of the set: http://www.sendspace.com/file/adzspy All tracks are at 320 kbps and the ID tags are all written, save the album art. I'll get up the MP3's for the second disc when I have more time. Enjoy!

Re: Pied Piper Go to Yesterday DVD
People were PISSED when they played No Self Control instead of Lorelai. I could hear the disappointment in peoples' voices after that trick-riff.

Thanks for that upload. I gotta say, one of the best parts is being able to hear the entire crowd sing along with Trip Dancer between performances.

Re: Pied Piper Go to Yesterday DVD
Yea, I just love these new arrangements to the old songs. I can't stop listening to them now. I really really hope we get more of these old songs this year, like an actual full version of Lorelei. We know Sawao remembers how to play it somewhat, so he'd better play it soon! Speaking of which, what does Sawao say about Akanai Tobira no Mae de? He has a comment right after it, and then again after Girlfriend. I'm sure it's something to the effect of, "It sounds like we were playing a cover of someone else's song", but he talks a lot so there's gotta be more to it there.

Re: Pied Piper Go to Yesterday DVD
I feel like I'm jumping into this conversation REALLY late. But I figure I should I should share my impressions of this awesome DVD too. First of all, Goshin and pillowsfan, you are my Heroes of the Week for uploading those files. You rock. To pillowsfan, I am having the same problem that someone else(Alucard I think) had back on page 13 of the thread...my file is roughly over an hour and cuts out in the middle of Purple Apple. This was a crushing blow when it happened, because I had spent the duration of the disc to that point on the edge of my seat waiting for Akanai Tobirai. Needless to say, I was a very sad individual. But since Goshin has put up the Mp3s, I can at least listen now. Some opinions on the songs: No Surrender/Mr. Droopy: A fantastic start to the show. Great energy, upbeat, and one of my favorites from Pied Piper. Like A Lovesong: Woooowww. I love it. Usually when I go to concerts, there's one song that defines the show for me, one that I can't get out of my head for days afterwards. This is it. I finished watching an hour ago and I'm still singing it. I went and listened it on my computer again as soon as I was done watching. Good stuff. Melody: Good, but it didn't blow me away. I guess I just had my expectations set really high. ICE PICK: Oh yeah. So happy that I can hear it live now. Another highlight of the show for me. The clapping of the crowd in Purple Apple was really cool to watch too. Jun does a really good job with his backing vocals in this one too, especially in Back Seat Dog. I also liked the little guitar improv that Manabe did with the solo for Ladybird Girl. And Sawao is his normal spazzy self in this show too. The little point-at -the audience thing and his frantic jumping all over the place...funny as always, but that's his thing. This is a great DVD, and I will be ordering it very soon. But for now, the Mp3s need to finish downloading! I WANT TO HEAR AKANAI TOBIRAI!

Oops, I'm sorry. Like I've said, I've done more lurking in this thread than posting. Ok. The Heroes list will be expanded.
