Re: Thank You, My Twilight
I downloaded robotman from a site or a internet radio. It cut off the part were it says " the girl and i look just like hedgehogs" I really like that part. Though I only heard it twice.
Robotman still doesn't really do it for me. I just don't see it. I guess it's better than My Beautiful Sun and Winona.
Seriously dude? Seriously? How can you not want to howl out this song at the top of your lungs and fall in love with it? It's seriously one of the most fun songs to sing along to.

Re: Thank You, My Twilight
So, I've been listening to the pillows for nearly seven years now, I think. And I have all the albums up to My Foot. I've listened to every single one at least 2 or 3 times, whereas the core stuff I listen to (Basically Living Field/Kool Spice up until their b-sides collection Another Morning, Another Pillows) I've heard a gajillion times. Two of the albums I hadn't really paid too much attention to were Smile and Thank You, My Twilight. Now, I love the song Smile, but I had never paid much attention to the rest of the album. It's fantastic. As for TYMT, dear God. I can't believe I overlooked this album for so long. I've listened to it about 7 or 8 times in the last 24 hours. I've listened to TYMT the song specifically about 15 times. This is a ridiculously great album. This album has now found its place among my favorite albums by the pillows of all time and might prove to be my absolute favorite if I don't grow sick of it after listening to it nonstop for the next week (which I doubt I'll grow sick of it, this album is absolutely eargasmic.) I cannot believe I missed out on these songs for so long. Which also reminds me, She's My Sister? That's another fantastic song from an album that I overlooked as well. TL;DR: TYMT

Re: Thank You, My Twilight
TYMT used to be my favorite, but now I'm leaning more towards Runners High.
There's just too many throwaway tracks on TYMT, whereas on Runners High there are really none that are intolerable.
Rain Brain, My Beautiful Sun, Come on Ghost, Ritalin 202, Winona, and Rookie Jet are all throwaways.
It would have been better as an EP with this track list:
Biscuit Hammer Babylon Tenshi no Uta Robotman Shiroi Natsu Sonna Fuu ni Sugoshitai (should've been A -side) TYMT

Re: Thank You, My Twilight
I'd say maybe Winona is the only throw away track in my opinion. Even then, it's still a solid song. Also, I really like My Beautiful Sun. I LOVE Come On, Ghost. It is an amazing song.

Re: Thank You, My Twilight
Rookie Jet is a throwaway song, sure. However, Winona is fantastic. Come On Ghost is great. You have got to be on drugs to think otherwise. The rest of the listed songs are good as well.

Re: Thank You, My Twilight
TYMT is my 5th favorite album by the pillows, it's so friggin good. But to say Winona is filler? Rookie Jet? No way. Winona is amazing, I love that intro, and it's the perfect song to precede TYMT the song. If there was any filler on the album, it's Ritalin 202, but even that song looks pretty fun from the live versions we have.

Rookie Jet is throwaway in the sense that any "fun" song is. It's not serious, it's nothing earth-shattering, but it's a fun song to rock out to. As for the rest, you are definitely on the wrong kinds of drugs.

Well, okay, maybe I should rephrase it.
Rookie Jet and Ritalin 202 are throwaways for sure. The others might not be, but they're just average. Everything on Runners High is generally above-average, with the exception of maybe white ash and borderline case.
That's my reasoning as to why runners high>TYMT.
But I love both albums anyway. Like I said, back in 2005 I thought it was my favorite album, and when Manabe asked me at the time what my favorite was, that's what I said. (though at that concert I had them sign smile instead since that's what I had on me)

Re: Thank You, My Twilight
noone's mentioned this bonus clip? this made me fall hard for this album. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjxyGa_YaSc [skip to 3:40] 2002-3 wasnt their peak, but for sure tymt was the last time the pillows made true music.

Re: Thank You, My Twilight
Well, I can't give you that. I can give you Turn Back though. . . for your B-day or something or when you finish High School or whatever.
