Good shit, dude. The Electric Version was definitely the best, followed by Mass Romantic...then Twin Cinema...and then I guess there were a few good tracks on Challengers. Kinda bored me though. The New Pornographers are best when they're peppy and electric. Like in the beginning. Still AC Newman + Neko Case = AWESOME.

So I was listening to Zazen Boys 4. So tight. Like, the only other Zazen Boys I have is ZB II, and I don't know, aside from a few songs I can't really recall much of interest. Cold Beat is awesome live though.

Exactly. I heard Mass Romantic first, but Electric Version just grabbed me and never let go. I don't like Challengers very much, but it's not as bad as it could have been.

Re: Artist you're currently listening to. For some reason "Livin' on a Prayer" is blasting on repeat in my head. Oh wait, that's because the mediocre cover band that played tonight did it and everyone was yelling along. They were decent, the singer had a tendency to go off-key though. Guitarist was pretty cool, had a Tele formerly owned by Bruce Springsteen, though he was using a Gibson Studio LP because he hadn't set up the Tele recently or whatever.
