Re: Artist you're currently listening to.
yeah both are great albums. Recently hooked up marekenshin with some Jets to Brazil. Well, just Orange Rhyming Dictionary, hated the other two albums they released, honestly.

The New Pornographers - Twin Cinema
I prefer The Electric Version, but this album is pretty good too.

Good shit, dude. The Electric Version was definitely the best, followed by Mass Romantic...then Twin Cinema...and then I guess there were a few good tracks on Challengers. Kinda bored me though. The New Pornographers are best when they're peppy and electric. Like in the beginning. Still AC Newman + Neko Case = AWESOME.

Love New Pornographers, I have Electric Version and Twin Cinema.
So I was listening to Zazen Boys 4. So tight. Like, the only other Zazen Boys I have is ZB II, and I don't know, aside from a few songs I can't really recall much of interest. Cold Beat is awesome live though.

Exactly. I heard Mass Romantic first, but Electric Version just grabbed me and never let go. I don't like Challengers very much, but it's not as bad as it could have been.
The Aquabats! (what ever songs) The New Pornographers (Electric Version, Mass Romantic) Apples in Stereo (Velocity of sound) Los Campesinos! (Hold on now, youngster...) Black Kids (Partie Traumatic)
Put these bands/albums on one play list and hit shuffle. Good fucking times to be had.

Re: Artist you're currently listening to.
For some reason "Livin' on a Prayer" is blasting on repeat in my head. Oh wait, that's because the mediocre cover band that played tonight did it and everyone was yelling along. They were decent, the singer had a tendency to go off-key though. Guitarist was pretty cool, had a Tele formerly owned by Bruce Springsteen, though he was using a Gibson Studio LP because he hadn't set up the Tele recently or whatever.

So I've heard.
As do I.
I am a huge, very outspoken fan of Telecasters.
