Not quite, because he's still really lightweight, but his down-A is AMAZING. Also Thunder-spamming is hilarious. You just keep launching them higher and higher into the air until they die, and they can't do shit about it unless they have a counter move like Mario, Fox, or Marth.
or they DI out

Well, you can try that, but once it's down to one on one, Pikachu's speed generally means your ass is FUCKED if he knocked you into the air. I mean, obviously you have to get some damage on them first, but he has tons of great moves for that, especially his down-smash.
Dash, up-smash, THUNDERSPAM.

You can dodge it, though. I mean, I always forget to, but theoretically...

It's possible to, but there's a point at which you get high enough that the thunder hits you before you can move far enough away.

I use thunder to finish of snake when he up-b's high up.

Question: Would anyone like to play some Brawl tonight? My Wii isn't set up in my dorm, but I'd sure as hell hop online if there were some Brawler-kuns around...
Any takers?

Just IM me whenever you're in the mood. If I am available, I won't be able to say no, despite the atrocious online experience that is that game. I'm totally down with Mario Kart, too.

I guess it couldn't hurt to share our friend code things beforehand. Mine is 2750-2022-3296. I'm not certain if Mare can make an appearance at college, though?
Anyway, I haven't really played over the internet much, because it's absurd how little thought went into the online aspect of the game, which could have been great. It's not exactly a complex game - I don't understand where the lag comes from. Valve and Blizzard don't seem to have the same problem, despite their infinitely more complex games.
Mario Kart is surprisingly good, though - although it may just be surprising because I've played Brawl. The only problem is the rating system, where once you get high enough, you have to work your ass off to stay there, and you'll inevitably face a blue shell in the last lap every now and then, sending your rating way down.

I hear that Smash actually got delayed to try to fix the online lag, only for that fix to FAIL miserably.
Princeton seems to have a problem with letting Nintendo systems onto their wireless, but we're working to try to get our gaming system hooked up to the internet here one way or another. If we manage to get something, I'll give you a FC and we'll get our brawl or kart on.

Get an adapter and use a hard connection.
Seriously, how can Nintendo fail that miserably? Their half-assed online development probably made the game at least a tenth as good as it could have been. Not only is there the lag, but the entire system is simply foolish. First, all the options available in the game should be available online. Second, how come every other online game in the history of the world has come up with an adequate system of matchups, whether it be a lobby/channel system, server system, etc., except for SSBB? And holy fuck, it's not like the game has complicated graphics, a complicated system, or a complicated anything. What could have been the easiest fucking thing was utterly ruined by Nintendo, and their dumb-as-fuck online system.

I've been trying to get my DS to connect either via an ad-hoc network on my computer or just to Princeton's wireless for ages now, I just can't seem to get it to go online so far. :/ The Wii should be easier to get online with, but it's not exactly my area of expertise, nor is it my personal Wii...I'll work on getting the club's tech chair to get us online.

I remember when i use to steal my neighbors internet I would play Mario Kart DS. It was fun. Though i hated the hackers. Then i played Mortal Kombat for the DS. Everytime i would kick someone's ass they would log off. Does Brawl have any hackers>/?
