I choose you!
I just wanted to make a new topic so... Why do you like Pokemon? Because I love Pokemon I wanted to know what Pokemon means to you, what everyone on IM has for a team, and your favorite Pokemon and why? If you have a trainer card do so and post that shit up, or if you have some sort of picture or drawing of your team with your personalized trainer do so instead. Whatever you want. Pokemon started what might possibly be the first time I ever felt real compassion for an idea or belief. I never was allowed to have any pets, so I never got the gift of having a friend there whenever you needed one. When Pokemon came out, for me it wasn't just because everyone else was doing it, or because it was the latest fad that was cool at the time, it was a way to escape school and life, and live IN the games and TV shows. Tell me you didn't fucking cry when Ash was leaving Pikachu behind with the other pikachu's, or when Butterfree left to become a father, or even when Ash and his Pokemon were snowed in, in the episode "Snoway out." And his Pokemon cared for his warmth more than their own revealing true love for their trainer. I feel that Pokemon helped to develop compassion for life and creatures, as well as help to better childrens social awkwardness with others. Pokemon helped me make tons of friends, before Pokemon I was hella shy and I only had one friend, in the start of 3rd grade when Pokemon came out in 98' I made friends with half of the entire school. I knew what it meant to become a trainer, it was the life long journey of growing up. Finding your own path/way that focuses on your goals to become whatever you want to become. Nobody will tell you otherwise. Heres my team My favorite Pokemon is Arcanine because of its magesty and grace as well as being a badass pokemon. It reminds me of my cat Lily, she is a brown tabby tiger long haired. Arcanine is said to be the most loyal pokemon, and a great friend. Also Arcanine is categorized as a legendary Pokemon even if its not a Basic or single Pokemon like the 3 birds or the 3 dogs. Don't believe me, it says it on the card, Arcanine is a Legendary Pokemon.

Re: I choose you!
Oh well if that's your team, my team is 6 Arceus with whatever type shell will be advantageous over my enemy. GG. seriously though, did you not get the memo about not having legendaries in your "team?"
edit: but really though, if we're talking about Pokemon we think are cool, I'd get thrashed by nearly any other team that would face me.
1) Bulbasaur 2) Farfetch'd 3) Murkrow 4) Bastiodon 5) Haunter 6) Hypno
Thrashed.

Articuno x5 Mew
Red/Blue versions where Ice type still pwnz though. And yes, it sucks in the later versions since it's flying and ice type, but I still loves me Articuno. Ice in Red/Blue > Fire + Water. PLUS IT FREEZES THINGZOMGLOZzLEMYDOZzLECAEKS.

Re: I choose you!
There are several good teams I've been considering, but I lost some of the shit for what I was planning out, so I'll have to rethink stuff. Some really cool/useful Pokemon include Gyarados (of course), Ursaring, Lucario, and Infernape.

Re: I choose you!
I did that sketch a while ago but what I meant was post your team if you could have whatever pokemon combination you like. It doesn't matter about movesets or type advantages, Just your dream team of Pokemon you love or think is awesome to have on a team. I mean if you roll with 6 Mewtwo's or 6 Arceuses' sure you'll thrash on whoever. Imagine yourself in the Pokemon World, who would be on your team? You don't see Ash holding 6 Arceuses' on his belt. I like to draw when possible if you really want to see some of my art heres a link to my Myspace art album. It has some stuff I collected around my room and peoples requests. < http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.c ... Id=1129103 > Pokemon Rules

I had to fold that drawing in half because it was too big for my scaner. Then realine the image with Paint. It turned out alright I guess. I have a trainer card that I'll post up when I remake it.

Pokemon can be used or obtained in other ways too. Remember when Ash recieved Charmander? Charmander chose to become Ash's pokemon, these creatures understand what environments they are put in and gladly accept them because of their amazing abilities. Brock obtained Vulpix from Suzy so that he can continue to learn and journey to become a great breeder, and Lara, who she and her Ponyta worked together to race in competitions, and many trainers like May and Dawn who want to out shine other trainers pokemon by becoming great coordinaters.

So long as you follow the rules on this forum, I couldn't care less what you say.

Re: I choose you!
Pokemon holds a lot of nostalgia for me, and I'm probably not alone here. I regard it as one of the greatest gaming and social activities I've ever experienced. Also, Squirtle owns.
