I have to say, 2008 has been pretty disappointing for me. I haven't really enjoyed many releases that came with this year.

I liked Code Geass, Noein, and Moribito. But that's just about it... Naruto and Bleach have been dull.

The only thing I have to keep me going consistently is One Piece. That show is the shit.

-This deserves emphasis: the technical animation in this series is some of the best I've ever seen.
-Yoko Kanno does the soundtrack.

-Action! Romance! Love!

All in all, a high-quality space opera. I recommend it.

Holy shit, Hokuto no Ken is beast. It's a goldy oldie, that's for sure.

I'm about to look into [i]Now and Then, Here and There[/i] again. From what I've seen (about four episodes), it's really good.

Yeah, I finished it. The tremors knock-off was a bit of a blemish.

I also think that the lead character Shu took too long to adapt to his surroundings. I mean I get that he was a optimistic boy from our world faced with a world completely different from our own and all, but after the first few episodes I felt as though he was a bit too idealistic as far as right and wrong goes. Then again, he really does help deliver the plot with his naivity.

The last few episodes were very brutal, and I had a feeling that the series was going to end the way it did.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann - HOLY SHIT this show kicks so much ass it's just ridiculous.
Soul Eater -Not very complicated or anything I just think it's stylish enough to be a really cool show, very entertaining. I like the characters.
Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni / Kai - I'm a bit late on this one, I know, but holy crap it blew me away. It was everything I was hoping for and more.
Ergo Proxy - Pretty good cyberpunk. I'm not going crazy over it but it has a lot of really good stuff going on it.

^Yeah, I loved Higurashi too, it's got some good rewatch value.

Agreed on both counts.

I've heard a lot of good things about Here There and Everywhere or whatever it's called (haha sorry, my Beatles intuition took over). It sounds like something I'd really like. Maybe I should have watched it on Sci-Fi when it was on with Gurren Lagann...
