 Animal Crossing: City Folk
I just got the game today. It's almost exactly like the DS version, except with a ton more items, and a new area. I'm gonna be hooked.

*shudders* I spent too many hours on the original years ago. A game about paying your house bills to a raccoon? I'll pass.

I've never played an animal crossing game ever. so if I do want to try it, the wii one would likely be it.

Isn't it online? So that should make up for the small city. If you have wifi or online capabilities.

 Re: Animal Crossing: City Folk
Coming back to this post a bit later on in my experience with it, my feelings for the game are different. I think it was hardly an upgrade on the DS version, with just a few minor additions on top of the old stuff.
It's really unforgivable, since they've had 2 or 3 years to come up with something new. For the little amount of variety in the game, and Nintendo's head for 'change', I think they have no excuse for not including anything but a few new stores. It was probably intentional, as they realized fans will still buy it.

 Re: Animal Crossing: City Folk
I got this game for Christmas. I'm not really sure I understand the concept. I am foraging for things to sell to pay for my house. Is that the entire game? Oh, and after 10, there's nothing to do. That's kind of when I'd like to play, though.

Sort of a love/hate thing. http://www.gamespot.com/ds/rpg/animalcr ... tch-review

 Re: Animal Crossing: City Folk
Everyone, go get this game. And figure out how to play with me. And then tell me. And then play with me.
I can't fucking believe there's nothing to do at night, especially after Tom Nook closes shop, I can't sell my shit to him.

Hey, just like a real town! If you discount bars, vandalism, and prostitution. But hey, today, on Saturday. Go to Brewster's (in the museum) from between 8-12PM. K.K. Slider will be there, playing guitar for your enjoyment.
If the sheer magic of K.K Slider is lost on you, then I wouldn't have high hopes for the rest of the game.
edit, Pro Tip: Request "K.K. Jazz."
