 Role Model (the movie)
I have seen the previews on tv and honestly that black kid annoys me. Not trying to be racist. But when he slaps the guy and runs. I know for a fact that i would not take that and would at least tell his mom. If he even has one >.> Seems dumb. If they were going to go to prison why would they have them take care of kids? Is that even possible?

Well you see Metal, in today's modern society, sometimes people only have one parent. Or perhaps two of one type of parent. Or perhaps they live with people who aren't their parents at all.

Having respect etc. If I was to misbehave back when i was that kids age, I would have gotten hit with the belt. If I ever do have kids I would hit them with a belt if they ever misbehave. If you were to be a single parent, would you ignore your kids just because your wife left you? Or would you man up and help them grow up to be a good kid?

It's a movie, Metal. Entertainment. If you judge every movie on moral standards, they aren't entertainment anymore. Lighten up a little.
Also, does this mean I have to beat my children to make them good kids?

Well not beat. But to discipline them. Now a day most parents just "talk" to there kids. What has talking ever done? If I'm 5 years old and i just threw a rock at some person. If my parents tell me not to do it again. Then I wouldn't really pay attention to them .They just talked to me. I don't fear them, because I know that if i do it again they'll just end up talking to me about it again.
If they were to beat me with a belt NOT TO DO IT AGAIN. then I wouldn't do it again. I know that: Throw rock + Person = Bad, Bad + me = trouble, trouble + parents = beating.
Simple.
Movies are only entertaining depending on the plot. The plot of the movie is that two adults will be Role Models to two kids. Okay, so the black kid is a dick and doesn't listen. Were is the Role Modeling there? Title is misleading.

 Re: Role Model (the movie)
For a person who's grown up in a balanced family, the thought of letting their parents down can be just as painful as a beating, or even more painful.
I'm sorry that you don't know what it means to respect and care about what your parents think of you as a person.

 Re: Role Model (the movie)
I care about my parents and give them the respect they deserve. But i'm saying that the families that aren't stable. If i have a kid and me and him don't get along then there is a chance that he wont ever listen nor care about me. Even if I talk to him he wont bother listening. It's like a teenage girl. No matter how much you talk to her about Bob just wanting to plow her and then leave. All she knows is that bob loves her.
Sometimes talking about is isn't the best way.

Maybe the idea is that they are going to make him a better person somehow. Or did someone say that already?
You're still thinking too hard.

Well honestly. I know these types of movies. I've seen lots of them before. They hate each other, in the end the love each other but have to say goodbye. Blah.
