Just breed it. If you have a male, find a lax/quiet ditto, give it an everstone and breed it with that. If the mother is holding an everstone, it has a 50% chance of passing the nature on to the children. You might want to check out the breeding section on serebii, that shit'll save you a loooooot of time starting over repeatedly etc.

You shouldn't worry about the nature of your starter anyway, since you're not going to be able to EV train it anyway. Basically, you have your ingame team, and then you make a competitive team later, so just roll with whatever you get on your starter and worry about natures later.

I'm going to be honest with you. I'm a complete newb to the entire EV IV training. I've never trained with those things in mind. None of my pokemon have ever been EV trained. Maybe IV, but not EV.

That's cool, I'm actually just barely starting on it. I'll be EV training for the first time as soon as I get enough Battle Points to buy the EV training items (got my vitamins WELL stocked already haha). I don't have Pokerus yet, so it's not going to go at it's maximum speed, but it'll go fast enough. ;3

Jolmes is a fucking Pokemon Master, btw, so if you have questions or stuff, you should talk to him. He can probably hook you up with Pokerus and give you some tips and whatnot (though all of the basics can be found on Serebii), that's what he's been doing/will do for me.

EV training looks daunting, but if you get the vitamins down, you've already cut it in roughly half. Just use an amulet coin and the battle finder to repeatedly mug the two old people near the trophy garden on the left, and you'll get 16000 yen from each fight, easily supplying vitamin purchases (and anything else you could want, from TMs to whatever). It gives you something productive to do while hatching eggs.

I'm really looking forward to getting an EV trained team done because that shit will tear up normally trained guys like nothing else...well, nothing else except an EV trained team with higher IVs and better moves. ;D

I'm not jet lagged at all. Gonna catch and breed some Adamant or Jolly Gibles later. Basically gonna raise a fuckton of competitive dudes, maybe about 20 or so and then work at breeding better and better guys as time goes on.
