Post The Pillows, Noodles, All Ages @ Slim (SF)
Ok since there are there's about the concerts in different cities, I decided to make one too. I hope it's alright
So who is excited about going to the SF show?
Since I couldn't attend the LA or the Texas one, I decided to go to Slims.
I'm really excited about it ^_^ Only 2 more days and I'll be seeing them live for my first time ^_^
So what do you think they will play this year?
I read that the LA show had FLCL music plus a few new songs like Ladybird girl and the Third eye. I'm not that excited about ladybird girl, but The Third Eye is awesome ^_^
Also would you guys like to meet up at the venue?

Also apparently they didn't have CDs of the pillows, only Noodles at LA so that's disappointing :(

I got to go to a show for the Wake up! tour, so I'm really looking forward to hearing more "FLCL" songs (i.e. mid to late nineties pillows, something that they rarely play in Japan). This will only be my second time seeing them, and while having two opening bands is kind of annoying, what can you do, right? I imagine it'll only be maybe a one hour or so set.

I feel weird not going to the LA one instead of the SF one. Since I live closer to SF because of school XD

And as good as the songs related to FLCL are, I would love to hear a show without any of them on the setlist... Just once : /

Why would you want that? The songs were made for themselves, not just FLCL. Stop tying them only to FLCL, that's just silly. They play some of those songs in Japan too, like Ride on Shooting Star. It was a hit single, and it's a brilliant song. The connection to FLCL doesn't really matter.

I agree with Marekenshin. Personally, regardless of the FLCL connection, I think that the late 90s stuff was some of their best (mostly because it was a lot harder rock than their other stuff, which I am prone to enjoy).

I am going to the SF show, even though I also went to the LA one. It'll be nice to see them again; you can never have enough pillows. I'll probably show up early, depending on what's going on, just because I fly in early anyways.

I love your avatar. Calvin and Hobbes is great. It's going to be a relatively short show, but it should be great anyway. I can't wait for it.

True about the FLCL Mare. Also if it weren't for FLCL, they would probably not have as many fans as they do now.
How long do you think their set will be?
I'm hopping a little over an hour.
And did anyone like tha nametag Idea?
I personally don't like it. It's better just to say what your gonna wear that day.
I don't have any Pillows merchandise or shirts so I'm gonna be wearing my Mexico shirt that day and maybe my Jeff Gordon(No I'm not a redneck and yes I somewhat enjoy NASCAR :P) MAYBE.
Is it hot in SF? Never been out there so I want to dress appropriately. I don't wanna wear a big jacket there since in New Mexico it's freaking cold.
