Awesome, Boston finally has a show. So that makes 6 tour dates more or less confirmed. So it's looking like:


March 13: Los Angeles
March 17: San Francisco
March 18: Seattle
March 21: New York
March 22: Boston

Sometime between March 12-18: Austin

I can't wait until they announce more cities, which I'm sure they will, especially Chicago.

Oh yea, fixed. And that's a mighty big gap between Boston and Seattle. Maybe they'll go down Southeast during that time or maybe the midwest. I'm thinking this is going to be a decent sized tour, and it's making me excited!

They should come to NC or SC or VI during my b-day.

What? This is about the tour, the other one was a post about a seattle show. This one also started first.

Well one of them ought to go. Don't need a separate thread for conjecture about each tour date. :I I guess we can leave them for now, but once some solid info comes out, we ought to keep it to one thread.

edit: Unless I'm totally not paying attention and the Seattle show is COMPLETELY unrelated to this tour... ?

Come now Jolmes. This is a thread about the tour. Grey posted a thread to try to inform specifically about the Stereo Future breaking up and their show with the pillows. I see no problems here.

Here's a sweet idea. I'll just not post in the Seattle thread until/if something big comes up, directly related to it. Lock not necessary.

I just thought it might be an alright idea, as it's what's happen in the past generally (multiple tour dates, multiple threads). I wouldn't want to clutter up one thread that deals with multiple venues, discussions of "can I go? transportation, etc..."

Well the Stereo Future breaking up should go in music, and their show with the pillows would go in the pillows tour thread, no? :/ I think my asking whether or not we should lock was warranted, but I don't have a problem with leaving things as they are like Grey is suggesting.

Like I said, I'm not really paying the most attention to these threads, but I saw "pillows in US 2008" right by "pillows in seattle 2008" and thought, "Hm, maybe I should see if perhaps one of these threads is extraneous."

The only conceivable scenario where a lock would be more appropriate than a move is...actually, there are none. If a thread were bad enough, it'd just get deleted, wouldn't it?

Wrong. There is nowhere else to move a thread specifically about a pillows show. If it is a duplicate, then it has no reason to be open, but deleting it is not the best call because there may be useful information there. The discussion can be moved to one thread, but you don't have to delete one of them.

But if you wan't you can write to phpBB and tell them to get rid of their lock function.

I'm not locking/moving/deleting anything. I just wanted to check to see if people still felt both threads were needed. They did, so I'm leaving it alone. :] Thanks as always for jumping on my every moderator move.
