Huh? I didn't know Mikansei was particularly obscure, or even out of print. I don't care about being "indie", anyway, but I already listen to a ton of bands nobody's ever heard before, so who care?

I listen really closely to Mikansei the other day, and thought, "dang, every one of these songs is good... there's not a weak track on the whole album." Sankaku is pointlessly long, but it's a pretty minor gripe compared to how great the first five or so minutes are. Faust, Sore Dake, Mikansei, Poolside and especially Boku are all awesome, and the other two were almost as good. If anything, I thought yamane was the more obscure album, though I should point out I think that one is awesome, too.

I've never even heard the Sankaku EP... and I probably won't since that "Jrock Music Downloads" dweeb got shut down.

Is shichi gatsu July? Because my July is labelled as nana-gatsu, even if their numbers do go ichi, ni, san, shi, go, etc.

July would be read as shichigatsu.

Might I say that even though I think [i]kocorono[/i] is an amazing album, I fucking despise the canonization of it. People can have fucking preferences with a band that's released a shitload of albums that all range from good to great.

I have 4 of their albums, which is possibly all of them. Bloodthirsty Butchers' music is pretty much what I listen to when everything else on my iPod doesn't appeal to me.

Cause if everyone loved Mikansei, there would be someone who says they think Kocorono is better. Yeah, I overreacted. I was slightly offended at your implication that [i]kocorono[/i] could be proven objectively better than [i]Mikansei[/i] through it being their "best-selling" album or being the one the fans have "chosen" as their best, moreover when someone was just stating a preference. Which you may not have intended to imply, which, in the case of "not," would mean I was just pointlessly whining about a tiny fandom's universal preference. But yeah, sorry for unnecessary vitriol.

I've been listening to this since Sunday and it still hasn't really done MUCH for me. It's decent overall, but listening to this album really makes me hope that toddle's album will be better. After listening to the samples on their myspace page, the album will be at its worst, decent, imo.
