I wasn't expecting you to be singing in japanese. It was kinda funny and sounded weird at first, but you kinda pulled it off. Not bad, not great either, though.

It's not guitar-virtuoso oriented or anything, just my rock n' roll bands' newest recording. I'm the drummer, and I just thought the recording turned out well so I thought I'd share it:

http://www.myspace.com/blondsai

- it should play automatically, but if not then play "attacks"

Your vocalist look scary. The song did indeed come out quite well though.

this was a little project that started a few weeks ago... i finished writing it last night and sat down to record it today, just to get a kind of working prototype for what it will sound like with my band in the future...

http://www.sendspace.com/file/0vsog2

hope you like it.

EDIT: yes the transitions are tacky.

I'm assuming there will be a singer in your future band....

Well, the song is pretty good.

Just keep working on the vocals, maybe add some reverb?

I'm no singing expert but I would try singing with more energy.
Even average voices will work in a song if there is some passion
behind it.

EDIT: "Stories from your ass"

Did I hear that right?

I know this thread is you guys posting recordings and such, but I'd like to know if it'd be okay for me to put some song lyrics up. I like to write occasionally, and even though I can't sing/play music, I structure my lyrics to pretty distinct riffs and beats in my head, so they feel like complete pieces to me, whether they actually tangibly exist or not.

I swear, no overblown political nonsense, no overly graphic descriptions, no artsy fartsy big words for the sake of using big words, no excessive expletives, no complete fail and/or total suckage. :)

Like we've all never derailed a topic (or nine in my case) before.

Hey look, I'm doing it right now!

I'll put this thread back on track.

I've recorded some stuff/songs. the majority are low quality, non-serious recordings I made just messing around. I had a ton more but when my laptop blew up a week ago I lost almost all of them.

Covers:

Swanky Street:
this is an incomplete, terrible, and rough recording I did to test out my new mic when I first got it. if you listen you can hear a christian radio station my amp picked up near the end.

Word of mouth:
this is my guitar cover of word of mouth by nine miles :D. I recorded this when I had a cold and didn't sing loud enough, so the vocals are pretty bad.

Super polar bear:
this is my guitar version of return of the polar bear (reprise) by nine miles. I had like 10 vocal tracks, 10 bass tracks with various effects, and a couple guitar tracks. I don't have any drums so I tapped on my laptop.

No substance jam:
I was jamming to no substance one day. I had fun recording and listening to this.

Hybrid acoustic:
an acoustic version of hybrid rainbow. I was testing out my new mic with my acoustic guitar. I messed up a few times.

Originals:

Something 4:
I was just messing around on my guitar using a chorus effect.

Something 2:
I like the bass somewhat. it's kind of an ambient song, if there is such a thing.

Something 1:
just messing around. I think this was actually the first song I recorded.

Something 3:
just messing around with the Gverb effect in audacity :). it sounds pretty neat.

Lazer beams:
oh lawd ! One time I came back from a local show drunk and wanted to record a fake hardcore/metal song. it didn't turn out very metal or hardcore so I never completed it. it sound OK I guess.

Guitar trip:
just messing around. I had a semi-sweet bass line that I didn't want to forget so I made it into a song.

Messing around:
just messing around with a cool riff.

Bass something:
just messing around on my bass.

Amazing song:
TURN YOUR VOLUME DOWN! I wanted to make a dis-harmonious song and this is what resulted. it's pretty groovy (I suppose you could call it that).

Ninjas, they're totally sweet:
GREAT SONG . I made this song back in june 2005. I was a senior in high school and in order to graduate we had to do a year long research project on something of a non-USA origin. I did mine on ninjas :D :D :D. this was the "multimedia" part of my 45 minute presentation I gave. this was actually the first song I learned to play and sing at the same time. I had an amazing recording of it I did a couple weeks ago, but my laptop blew up and I lost it >:(. this is just a pale recreation of what I had, without vocals. the lyrics go something like "ninjas, they're totally sweet. ninjas, they are real cool." for the majority of the song. the original song I played was just the rhythm in the left ear while I sang.

Rarefy, that's the band you wanted us to name. Ha, nice.

And I like how Overburn spells "something" when he names his files...sexy.

yeah my vocals are pretty uninspired... i was tired and yeah

i also realized that i sing more spirited when i'm playing guitar at the same time... yeah... i usually do my recordings in one straight go instead of one layer at a time so this whole lack of vocal emotion is only a recent problem...

and yes you heard that right, sclone.

ミ リイト ヂプ リリクス

i swear i'm going to start writing songs with nonsensical japanese phrases in them like sawao does with english. it's going to be great.

Overburn: The site you uploaded the recordings to is really slow to me :( I can't even load it.

zenkalia: The song is pretty nice really, with better vocals it would be really good. :)

Anyway something from me.. Nothing special since I have been playing for only 1,3 year, and I had some breaks as well(Especially now, when I'm preparing for major exams.)

Solo I've recorded for one forum jam in november.

Blues guitar improvisation to a backing track(from december), you can also hear harmonica in it - it was recorded by my mate.

Two song ideas, a bit improvised, especially chorus parts

Something I created after first hearing Scarecrow.. So chords are similar I guess.

Not sure if that's a song :P But I play "Neee-san" part in it

1 year old recording - me trying to sing - It didn't work back then, and it doesn't now, though now it's better :P My voice just doesn't fit for a vocalist I guess.

Video recording from today - Almost finished my solo tab for Little Busters, and so I've recorded me playing it. It still isn't correct and is played either too fast or to slow in some parts.

"Something" I've recorded.. - It has mistakes and is a bit improvised. I didn't like it enough to record it again.

My happy birthday solo

Me trying to make a happy birthday song for my mate

Another video - 1-2 months old - I'm trying to play with guitar behind my neck.. Doesn't work too well though, have to play few more years to do that properly :P Improvisation isn't too good as well. But I hope you can have a laugh, while watching at least. :D
