A Japanese band coming to Atlanta. Interesting.
pillows from 1992-1998, take note and time travel to present for Atlanta concert.

in their time machine they used to go back in time from the future to take their past-selfs into the future and teach the song they haven't created yet.
I'll be heading to the Nov.17 show. Rocket is playing with them. Which is awesome.

i saw them in concert at ACen this past may. i didn't expect to be blown away by them or anything going in there, but i was actually by surprised how good they were. i wouldn't have mind going to one of their chicago concerts last week if i would've known earlier.
there was this one song i remember that i really liked though, ut i need some help remembering the title. at the chorus (i think it was the chorus) they would start chanting or something in these really high voices with some peppy guitar, and then very quickly play a couple of very heavy riffs and say something in a very deep voice. sorry if this a bad description, lol
Just reviving this thread to ask "What the hell do you people see in this band?"
1. They have a bassist that is the female-equivalent of Nick Oliveri!
2. Their drummer has the power to out-maneuver Brad Wilk!
3. Their vocalist can be cute one second and in the next superevil! Her guitar skills are pretty good, too.
4. "Manhole" is GOD!
5. Their live shows are utterable insane! (You should've seen the mosh pit at the Cambridge show last year.)
Onstage they are crazy, but offstage they are some of the sweetest people we've ever met. My friends and I couldn't stop chatting with them, and I became online friends with Yayoi. (She even knew me from the radio show .)
Yeah, I know I'll probably be flamed for this. They're my favorite punk band, so I gotta stand up for them.

Their drummer didn't impress me at all. Also, loud != punk. The lyrics are pointless. JIICHAN JIICHAN JIICHAN JIICHAN JIICHAN JIICHAN JIICHAN.
Good drummer: Inazawa Ahito of Number Girl, Zazen Boys, and Beyonds.
Good bassists: Suzuki Jun, Kashima, Akko, etc. This bassist isn't all that good.

dont mean to jump on the bandwagon but i agree with mare and grey. I saw these guys last year at the roxy and left early. I'd take Lolita no. 18 over these guys, and i don't even like them either.

Judging by those live videos, I think you mean "gratingly, ear-bleedingly annoying" rather than "cute and superevil".

You know you're grasping for straws when you have to use Nick Oliveri and Brad Wilk as benchmarks.

(Also I love the story of how she almost got kidnapped by a lesbian on the Suicide Girls tour .) One of my favorite interviews with these girls was the one where Mari got pissed at the interviewer when he tried to compare them with Morning Musume. The best quote from the interview:
if you’re naughty, we’ll eat you alive.
:D:D:D:D:D

When I searched for "Suicide Girls Tour," all I got was a link to a porno site.
Hmmm...
