Their performance was a blatant rip-off of every Gothic Lolita visual kei band ever in Japan. It was like Malice Mizer after Gackt left, only 30X worse!!!!
Japan is superior, huh?
First off you said Japan was superior first (Ging Nang Boyz). Second Americans trying out Gothic Lolita: creepier than you'd think.

I came in at Beyonce, so I missed some stuff. I saw a clip afterwards of OK GO doing their treadmill routine live. Did anyone see that? It'd be funny if one of them made a mistake and busted their face on live television.
That frontman of AAR is one ugly hombre, with his freaky eyes and bone structure.

When I say Japan is superior, I say it for pure comical satisfaction. Even if it comes to GNB.
And how do you know if they are ripping off what you call gothic lolita? How do you know if it's not just emo/gothic?

All those gothic/emo bands here are strikingly similar to VK, at least in my eyes, but they are even more devoid of actual musical talent than their Japanese counterparts, which is frightening.
More importantly, though, why did anyone watch the VMAs, and why are we discussing them? LOCK AND DESTROY

Oh man. Don't even get me started on Avenged Sevenfold. What a meandering excuse for a wannabe metal band. They're horrible, but at least not as blatantly unoriginal as Panic at the Disco.
Their guitarists are treated like they're something special when "Zacky Vengeance" is boring and utterly untalented, and "Synyster Gates" is a dull Slash ripoff. To top it off, their tone sucks, their lyrics are mind-numbingly stupid, and their singer is an imbecile.

And Paris Hilton said he was cute?!
Oh, wait her opinion doesn't ever matter...
I HATE THAT HAIRSTYLE.
Edit: I hate AAR, they suck, and there is no depth to there songs.

He looks like Jim Morrison with a wimpy pop haircut. But uglier.

I didn't even know they showed the VMAs until I read about it on the 'net.
