You guys have to admit, it was kind of funny. The guy who jumped on stage definitely was an idiot, no doubt about it but Sawao chasing him off was hilarious. I laugh everytime I watch it.

geki, just out of curiousity, when did you start positng in ebonics? I could barely understand you all up in dat mess.

Culen's reply was too big for youtube,aw heck, here.
I'm having this wall of text posted in full here since this is where it really matters the most and because YouTube got an awful private messaging and Comment leaving system after the upgrade. Nice one, guys. You really helped us out!

I've had this happen to me once years ago. It wasn't a disorderly fan by any stretch of the imagination, but he was just stepping all over my pedals trying to scream "Dr. Pepper" (That was the name of the song, you see) into my mic and also stepped on my bottled water. I would have taken care of him myself but the vocalist got to him first. He put his arm around his neck and they shared his mic for a few seconds before he was pushed on his way. If Sawao had any bit of tasteful rage in his body, his reaction to this fan should have gone something like Keith Richards' in this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hv5oR-sv1tY). But nooooo, he just stopped the song completley and wasted people's time with his overly dramatic reaction to a fan that got by some non-existant security. You guys are demonizing this fan too! SERIOUSLY NOW! He barely had a grip on him! If anything, you should all be blaming the Whiskey for its apparent lack of competent security guards at a SOLD OUT show. Sawao completley overreacted towards a fan that, from the looks of things, was just REALLY happy to see them in the states at an all ages show in the city of LA. Some people had different ways to show their fandom. Some girls came dressed to the show in SF in maid outfits (N!!!) and some guys were being complete weeaboo fags (Not N!!!). They all wanted to greet a once awesome band that came all the way from Japan to blast through some mediocre (lolarthritis?) live versions of some awesome studio recordings from 6 or more years ago (HOW LONG MUST WE RIDE THAT SHOOTING STAR AND FEEL THAT HYBRID RAINBOW LITTLE BUSTERS REAHHHHH) and some REALLY lacking new material. One guy was bold enough to get up onstage and get personal with a band he beileved to be GODS and he got chased off. Good game Sawao, good fucking game. You people really shouldn't worship a man who's so apparently anal about the quality and sanctity of his live shows that he won't let a fan show his appreciation onstage while he's rocking out. I bet you this guy bought every piece of merchandise from their table too and that he must be absolutely crushed that his favorite Japanese band reacted to him that way. And if Sawao honestly thought this guy was a psycho or something, those feelings are quite contradictory to his recent (Correct me if I'm wrong here as I haven't religiously kept up with recent live shows) habit of stage diving into crowds. He just overreacted and my mom got scared and said, "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in bel-air". I whistled for a cab and when it came near the license plate said "fresh" and it had a dice in the mirror. If anything I could say that this cab was rare, but I thought, "Nah man forget it, yo home to bel-air!". I pulled up to a house about seven or eight and I yelled to the cabby "Yo homes, smell you later!". Looked at my kingdom, I was finally there to sit on my throne, as the prince of bel-air.
Cullen really ought to get on with his life and find something else to occupy his time. His ramblings about a band he hasn't liked in quite some time makes me sad for him.

To be fair, this didn't occupy much time.

For all we know that guy was there for another band, and might have been mocking the band.

Oh he responded? I haven't been paying attention, heh. Gonna have to see his next line of stuff this next round after my set.

Edit: Missed the little notion at the top about YouTube.

Culen Jensen: Yes, that's why he was shaking hands and hugging them. Here Kaze, let me give you a BIG e-hug and firm e-handshake to let you know just how highly I regard your thought provoking insight on this event.

No offense out of me, Kaze.

I'm sorry, but the guy that ran on stage is not someone who deserves sympathy. He makes it sound as if more people should run up on stage and interupt songs to show their "support" for the band. What a joke. If a person interrupts one of the guitarists, the lead singer can keep singing and play through, but if a person interupts the lead singer and catches him off guard, the song is already thrown off. See how Keith Richards got pissed? He took off his guitar and stopped playing. The only reason the song didnt end was because the other members kept playing through. In this case, Sawao got interupted and stopped playing and singing.

His question regarding how long we must keep riding that shooting star and etc can be answered simply with, "However the fark long people wanna listen to it". Just because he got sick of it, doesn't mean the rest of the fans don't wanna listen to it. Sure, some of us would like to hear some of the other non-flcl songs. Also, he says the new material is lacking, but a lot of fans would disagree. However, that is his opinion so no point trying to tell him otherwise.

But really, stop making the kid sound like a hero because he's not. If there were more people like him, all concerts would end early because of constant interruptions.

So the fact that he was shaking their hands and shit automatically means that he was there for them?

I know that you for a fact know how a lot of punk rockers act. They are very random people, that act of his was something that is done a lot in punk rock shows. The guy in fact was a wearing a Ramones shirt, and seemed to be one. He could easily have been fucking around with the band trying to be MR FUNNY GUY.

You put yourself in Sawao's shoes. A Japanese man in America with no security being grabbed by a random guy for a second time out of nowhere. You know that the pillows dont have any of that crap in any of their shows.

I think Sawao got more pissed because of the bear hug rather than the dude going up there. If anything, I didn't hear a mistake when it happened. If you noticed, Jun seemed like he was totally fine with it.

He didn't grab Jun. He put his arm around him. That was his intent with Sawao. It just got complicated.

Yeah, Sawao did overexaggerate a bit.
