Well, looky here:

A Meet-and-Greet thing in San Fran a couple hours before the concert.

Since I'm probably gonna take the BART train into the city, I theoritically could go in early if I wanted to x_X But I doubt it.
Wow, very cool. Just like last year.

I might be there. Japan Town isn't within walking distance of a BART station, IIRC. I don't drive and most of my friends are pre-occupied with trivial things like "work" or "school". I guess I could just take a MUNI bus once I get there. Eh, we'll see.
YES!!!

you can get to japan town easily by bus... use this site to figure it out.

OK, I'll be there.

Better start brushing up on all that Japanese I forgot. :o

Wait, the official site says that the meet and greet is at 4:00, not 5:00.

I have a class that ends at 3:00, so there's no way I can make that. :(

EDIT: Fuck it, I'll skip class today.

Well, I had just called the venue to ask about will-call ticket pickup, and out of curiousity asked about what time they think the show will be over tonight, and unless I got misinformation, then...

There are four bands opening for The Pillows. Sounds like they're pulling an LA show and taking advantage of a likely-sellout crowd by throwing in another band.

The Pillows aren't supposed to take the stage until like 10:30 or so, I was told, but "they can play as long as they want", and we've all seen the LA show setlist after all those opening bands, so there shouldn't be any worries about the opening acts shortening down the time that The Pillows are playing.

Well, probably not if the Pillows really aren't coming on 'till 10:30 x_X Sounds like a 25-30 minute set per band.

3 hours exactly if I'm not mistaken.

Oh, it may be short notice, but can anyone going to the SF show possibly pick up an extra key chain for me? I forgot that I was supposed to buy another one for my friend who couldn't make the show and...kinda forgot. If you can help out, lemme know. Thanks!

So, bah, yeah. It'll be a good 2-3 hours of other bands before we get the pillows (though, which ofcourse will be worth it). Hopefully some of the opening acts will be pretty decent, though.

I do reckon I'll take position a little aways from the stage. Being 25 feet closer to The Pillows just doesn't seem quite worth it if it means being sweaty as hell after 2 1/2 hours of other bands. I'm really not much of a mosher anyway, for some reason I value being able to hear and see the band while semi-comfortable as opposed to having to do items 1 and 2 while being pushed up against from all sides and having half of my attention on staying standing up. (I'm 6'1", anyway, so I'm sure I'll wind up with an agreeable enough view >.> )

Yeah. Secret-Secret is some like electro-slow-goth-rock band. And I think someone else has mentioned the word "makeup" in the same sentence as them.
