Yes, the water was definitely free. The bartenders set em up for the crowd at the end of the show so they wouldn't be bothered while selling alcohol. Cocktails served in plastic cups were $7. Ridiculous city prices.

You know, if we make it to page 24, this'll be the largest thread in the pillows forum.

41 now.
Is it just me, or did other people like some of the live versions of songs better than those on the CD? I though Stalker was a lot more energetic live, adn Hybrid Rainbow/One Life live were heaven.

This is true for many songs (those who watch the videos know)
I much prefer One Life's slightly different ending, Stalker's intro, and Sleepy head Live (with the intro).

Despite the fact that the pillows' live versions of songs are almost always remarkably similar, if not carbon copies, of their studio versions, I still find their live performances to be quite exceptional, because of the high energy output and outright amazing performances.

I do agree for the most part, though I wish they'd do the album ending of One Life instead of slipping in a few more "Oh yeah"'s. I Know You, on the other hand, is actually much better live than it is on the CD in my opinion.

lol, Mr. Platypus, your dinosaur is showing. I also like THUNDER WHALES PICNIC live cause it's funny when Sawao goes "GOD BLESS YOU, YEAH!"

On the 9/16 DVD, is it just me or is there an alternate strumming pattern for Happy Bivouac? On the CD version it sounds like the pattern ends in a high note, but live it sounds low. I don't know enough musical terms to really describe what I'm talking about
I really like the way Babiron Tenshi no Uta sounds live, because it sounds a lot more genuine, whereas the CD version sounds like its being heavily filtered and distorted.

Strumming is a picking-hand-type-deal and does not effect the notes being played, except in the case of pinch harmonics, which isn't really strumming, I suppose, but just picking. Perhaps you mean that you think the song is in a different, lower key?

Looks like Manabe has made the Jagmaster his main guitar. Or perhaps he just doesn't want to risk destroying another Mustang. Oh yeah, Sawao's Cyclone looks a lot better with the One Life sticker on it.

It's officially his main guitar now.
He still uses the Mustang for recording though.
