Oh and SonGojin.... I think I was behind your friend when she grabbed the setlist. When Manabe came back on stage he knelt down to her and made some gesture with his hand and said something to her but I didn't catch it, do you know what that was about?
do you mean the chick that got Manabe's set list written in japanese? cause if so that wasn't my friend. my friend was a dude and he grabbed one that was printed and in english. it had the pillows logo on top and everything. i really have to get that scanned from him so you guys can see that Propose was SUPPOSED to be played! speaking of Propose, was i the only one who thought when Sawao introduced My Foot as "a brand new song" that it was gonna be Propose?

I don't think Propose was on the 3 Japanese setlists (Jun's, Sawao's, and Manabe's). I was front and center, and I checked Sawao's between pretty much every song, and they followed his list. I was going to politely ask a stagehand or Jun for one of the setlists, but two girls to my left leaned way over and ripped up Sawao's, then people immediately copied and took Jun's and Manabe's. I would have had it scanned and up last night, but I can't help it if some people are rude and greedy. I'll take dinner with the pillows over a setlist anyday.
Also, did anyone know Sawao's sunglasses are prescription? The waitress was teasing him for wearing them, and he showed me. I guess he doesn't need to see that well to perform, since he takes them off.

I'm totally going to shout "Play Propose!" at the SF show.
Thanks for the great pics. It sounds like this show was another success.

lol, yea, i'd take dinner over a setlist myself that's pretty cool that you got to eat with them though. i wonder if they'll continue the trend and take someone out to eat at all their shows.
but about the setlist, i didn't see them on the japanese ones, and i don't think nightmare was on there either, but they were both on the printed ones

Oh, and before I forget, one amusing part of dinner (at least for the people who spoke English at the table): After we got our drinks and the waitress came over to take our food order, she stood at the end by the female videographer and said, "why don't we start with the ladies?" Manabe then ordered first.
They had a lot of jokes at my expense too, so it evened out.

Ah, yeah I was talking about the chick. Nevermind.
Anyway, what is Propose and why have I never heard of this song until now?
Sounds pretty cool. Oh, and Jomei, I noticed Sawao's voice sounded odd last year when I saw em, too. I think it might be because there was a speaker blasting sound into my eardrums before hand, but who knows.
It just sounded... squeaky... and higher pitched than normal. His singing was fine, though.

mellie,
the show was awesome.
there was a total of 494 people paid in a room that holds 800.
i spent most of the night running around and filming stuff for their DVD so I didn't get to enjoy the show as much.
they had a couple different setlist and they definately had Nightmare as the 2nd Encore.
they were all bummed you didn't make it out.
sawao said they'd probably be back next year.
i have a bunch of pictures from dinner and the hotel that i'll try and upload.
ps. i got a free copy of the new Delicious Bump DVD and the new Noodles album that comes out next month.
pss. the band also gave me a little gift basket which i'm supposed to send you. email me your address.

GAH DAMNIT. Next year I'm going to bribe Sawao to come to Omaha and let my band open just so I can get an advance copy of the latest noodles album.

You need to show us all how to set up a show for them next time around. My friend has a band; and he would do as much as he can in order to get them to Boston.

Wow, thanks so much Bojan. I so wanted to be there and if I could have been, I would have been. I hope they know that. I'll be sure to email Chie and thank her too.
Did you know they originally were trying to book rooms at the Milshire? They had no idea it was flop house and that there are cockroaches in the bathrooms at that place. It was difficult for me to find them a hotel with all of the conventions going on down there that week but I managed to find a decent one. I just wish I could have gotten them closer to Logan Square. Oh well, at least I found them a decent place to stay.
Anyway, I'll email you the info. Thanks so much for sending this out to me, I'm really happy the show went well. Woo hoo!
