by the wachowski brothers.

germany has won a future world war, and great britain is a fascist state - a masked vigilante known only as "v" conducts guerilla warefare against the government. when he rescues a young woman (portman), she joins his struggle against the forces of oppression...

I'm intrigued... if only because of the expected controversy over the "pro-terrorism" theme.

the graphic novel is awesome, and V is the coolest anarchist superhero ever, i just hope they dont turn it into the predictable american action movie we know they will..

i enjoyed it. i didn't think it was terribly controversial though... they made it easy to sympathize with V and while i haven't read the comic, from what i've heard it sounds like he was more morally ambiguous than he was in the movie. there's really only one point where you'd get upset at him but then evey forgives him and all is well again.

Yeah. I enjoyed it. It had a fast pace to it. And one part was just utterly confusing.

Anything with Natalie Portman is always good
If this came out months ago, Crash would have an explosion afterwards in awards.

Which part? I thought it was pretty straight forward.
[I was so glad the girl witht the black glasses had "that thing" happen to her (spoiler avoided)]
