 dir en grey? these guys are actually pretty funny if you get pass thier crazed out shit, but i've grown to like em a bit. funny guys. i was watching their BBC interview at the youtube.com thing and they dont like goth stuff, and they still do it. lovely contradiciton but thier still awesome. anyone?

I find them pretty sucky, and can't understand at all all the hype around the bassist. I remember on their release on the rockamring page there was something stupid like "... and they're the only band in japan doing something good nowadays", but it looks that they deleted most of the info from this year festival.

Meh, had a friend gimme a sample a while back...they're music just was a bit too hardcore for me. (I guess that's the way to put it.) I just really don't see anything special in their music, but their costumes are, wow, just wow. Gotta be the weirdest things I've seen.

haha. yea. i just think its funny that japanese people can sing metal like that in japanese. its funnier when they start speaking english

Kyo or whatever has a pretty sweet voice...sometimes. I don't gerenally like their music much though, just when his voice is all big and, I dunno, how the crap do you describe a voice? Maybe operetic-ish? Well, when it's like that, its be rock.

They're decent, although highly over-rated. Their vocalist in my opinion is very talented, cause he has such a wide range of voice that he can use...The bassist is really hyped up because he can play really fast..That's about it though. If you block out the rest of the music, it really doesn't sound that amazing.
They do have a couple of pretty good songs that aren't just a bunch of screams and random noises though.
I guess they're really good if you're into that kind of music, but I wouldn't know.
