 Corpse Bride I know too many people are comparing it to Nightmare Before Xmas and hating on Corpse Bride. Aside from Nightmare Before Xmas being one of my favorite movies and is better than Corpse Bride, I think they did a good job making this new movie. It was fun to watch and had the same feeling as Nightmare before Xmas.

I swear I saw so many goth/emo kids there on the opening day, it was not funny.

I purposely went to an uncrowded theater to see it because I knew it would be full of little kids with black makeup

i really liked it. and it looked good for the most part, except when she was dancing around with her long veil... it didn't move quite right.
there weren't any goth kids when i went to see it. though i'm sure the merchandise will start popping up in hot topic.

They're exploiting the gothmo fascination with NBC (nightmare before christmas) and Johnny Depp, whom I abhor. Although I enjoyed NBC when I was a child, I'm not going to participate in this product-licensing fest.

Yes, but in recent years there has been a surge of popularity among the type of kids who listen to My Chemical Romance. It seems to me that the movie was made to cash in on this subculture's awakened interest in the older film.

My friends dragged me to Hot Topic yesterday. Besides the hoppin' 80's tunes (GhostbustersGET?!), it's pure crap. And yeah, there are Corpse Bride shirts and panties and enemas already. Makes me feel kind of crummy about liking the movie.
