Also, Culen, what kind of case is that? My girlfriend has an iSkin but I'm not crazy about it. What brand is it and how has your experience with it been? Does it block any of the ports on the iPod or anything? Does it protect the screen?
I've had an iSkin for my 10GB 3rd Gen. for about a year now and it really works for me. It adds some decent protection without making the iPod feel really bulky.

Oh, so it is an iSkin. My girlfriend's is a mini so when I saw the extra lines to the side of the clickwheel I assumed it was some other brand (the mini doesn't have those lines).
What color is that? Carbon or black? I think I'm going to get one but color is a huge factor here. I'm gonna go either white, blue, or carbon, I think, and maybe get some of those cool shader thingies for it.

You people and your fancy items...at my school all the rich, preps and jocks have iPods. I don't care I like my Cd player for I made my own design on it considering it's a Sony Walkman that cost me like 80 bucks. So I respect mine....

It's carbon. Had I known they made a straight-up black color beforehand, I would've purchased that instead.
Regardless, it looks nice. I just like black is all.

iPods are soooo sweet. i didnt want one for a while...then my mini-disc player broke...so all i did was ask my parents to get me one for x-mas and they gave me the money...I ended up buying the sweet Red and Black U2 one. ever since i got it, ive been listening to music whenever i have a chance...literally...hella expensive, but very worth it.

lol you bought the gimmick U2 one.
In all honesty, I would've gotten a neat multicolored one but I HATE the combination of red and black, it just screams "OMG LOOK AT ME AND MY COLORS AND OOOOH SO GOTH RED FOR BLOOD AND BLACK FOR DEATH AHHHHH."
Maybe not, whatever.

That's awesome, chiteau16. I really dig the black and red color scheme, regardless of the U2 promotion. I really wish they had made the back of the iPod black as well. I really don't like the metallic finish since it gets messed up so easily.

yeah...i hate the metal back of the iPod because you can see all kinds of fingrprints...but when the metal is clean it can double as a mirror for when you need one...so far i havent had a need for a mirror when i am walking around listening to music...in fact i dont think ill ever be in need of a mirror aside from the one in my bathroom...

i dont really care much for U2, but i got that iPod because the red and black combination has been my favorite since before i was aware of the existance and concept of "being goth"...it was pure luck that an iPod was made with my favorite colors...and also pure chance that these colors, according to you and others, represent "goth-ness"...my prediction now is that soon people will be able to costomize iPods with an increase in the price...just imagine the possibilites...

the only thing i have against CD players is that you have to go through all the trouble of carrying many CDs...not only that but your CDs can be at risk of damage when being carried around...its cool that you respect your CD player and i am not saying everyone should go and buy an iPod...the point i am trying to get arcoss is that with an iPod you can carry a lot of CDs in a small amount of space without worrying about damaging the original CD....MP3 and Mini-Disc players work too, but can only carry so much music...on a side note...at my school only people who are OCD with music have an iPod...this is astonishing because i do go to a school with many people who are far more richer than i am...
