Ha, look at Sawao and that smug crooked-smile.

Curious to see if Jun is still playing bass in Sawao's backing band.

Re: Jun Suzuki FIRED: come speculate
It looks like he hasn't been doing any solo touring for a bit, but he does have a solo show in March with the bassist that wrote Radio Telegraphy with him, and one in April with the bassist from Straightener, it looks like? http://yamanakasawao.com/y/live

I'd be down for some more FRAGMENTS, hopefully he gets help if his drinking is that big of a problem.

Re: Jun Suzuki FIRED: come speculate
Seems he's been drinking pretty heavily, if his last blog post is anything to go by.

Re: Jun Suzuki FIRED: come speculate
Just based on whatever photos I happen to see of the band live, it seems like Yoshinori Arie has been playing with The Pillows a lot. (moreso than the other bassists on their roster?) Anyone think he might end up as the next entrenched Pillows support member?

Re: Jun Suzuki FIRED: come speculate
I just got around to looking at the last page of this thread, and is it just me or is Jun's neck all fucked up in that picture? Dude looks dead inside, no joke.

Heavy alcoholism can seriously mess with your skin tone and stuff...I don't know if he has anything else going on, but now that you point it out, the texture on his neck and stuff looks weird especially next to those other two.

Re: Jun Suzuki FIRED: come speculate
I'd be psyched to finally hear some SABAH. They've been together for a while now, so it's weird that they haven't put out a widely available release yet; just limited demo CDs as live show exclusives, it seems.

Some of the indies bands that I follow have been around for years, but the only way to get their CDs is at the venue.

Re: Jun Suzuki FIRED: come speculate
Yeah, touring is way easier than getting a record contract. You'd think that these bands would make more of their music available on bandcamp in this day and age, but I guess there's that whole "make it limited to draw people to the show" mentality.
