Naw man, you got it. I like Cyclone. :)

I was thinking of putting up a song I made with Wario Ware D.I.Y., I recorded it a couple weeks ago but I need to go back and turn the bass down a notch and rerecord.

Nice vocals/melody, man. Took me like 5 tries of reloading the page to get it to play, though. How's the band going?

Thanks, dude. I hope to rerecord it with better quality. I used my netbooks mic. xD

The band isn't going very well. We want to totally revamp our sound, but I'm almost giving up.

Well, we were supposedly getting better mixes done when people were done with semester-end projects, but our friends who were doing the mixing got busy on the one hand and had some plug-in issues they had to work out on the other, so still just rough mixes, but this is my most recent band's incarnation, Atari Shock:

http://www.atarishock.bandcamp.com

For those of you IMers in NYC, this is late notice, but we're going down to play some rock music at the Cake Shop down on the lower east side this Saturday, January 4th. Unless somehow the show falls through (still haven't gotten the lineup/times from the venue, but I guess with the holiday in the middle of the week and all that, shit's probably been hectic). I'll post details when I get them, but you cool kids (My Foot, Alucard, etc) in the city should totally come check out our rocks.

 So.. *ahem* this is a first teaser of my entry of the cover contest. It is a voice-only-version of 'Trip Dancer'.
I am pretty excited to participate in this contest...because of the contest I have gathered a band, and I'm really lucky that I found a guitar player that can pull off Manabe's solo. I am an inexperienced musician, so I would really like to hear some feedback from you guys.
I would be grateful if you can point out some points for improvements. Thanks ^_^

The good: You seem to be mostly on-key. You don't sound bad.
The to-work-on: You put a LOT of vibrato on your voice. A lot. Too much. It makes your voice sound very "warbly" and kind of overly-saccharine. Try singing more "simply"? Also, it sounds like you're singing into your laptop's internal mic at night, not trying to wake your partner/parents/roommates up. Dunno if that's a sign of what your final product is going to be like, but just thought I'd point it out. It sounds like you're trying to not wake anybody up.

Anyway, good work doing music! Good job singing! This is a great thing, keep going. :D :shred:

Ah perfect! :)..thanks! I was not aware that I put that much vibrato on my voice, but now that you pointed it out, I really like to pull off a vibrato when it's possible... I'll try to keep it more straight :).
Yeah, I was singing in my mobile phone's internal mic actually :p... and I was holding in, as my room-mate was studying. However, I have noticed that when I try to sing more out loud, my voice goes all over the place so to speak. The tones are not that steady and it feels like I'm forcing myself too much. It's like I am straining my vocal chords too much. Maybe I can just adjust the mic on this? Or maybe it's better to just train my vocal chords...so I can sing louder more comfortably.
I also think I have to work on the soft-loud dynamics a bit more. Thanks a lot for your feedback!
