Hello Welcome to Bubbletown's Happy Zoo DVD
Just an annual reminder of the best live performance ever, with a setlist made up of the best songs The Pillows have ever written, Sawao's best hair, Manabe's best guitar tone, and Tatsuya Kashima. Dem flannel shirts, dat crisp guitar tone, Sawao's performance is relaxed and natural, yeah, these guys were in their prime. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDTrkTBe1-khttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPy7ru3fHWohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg2ZDtRskq8http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBphBvRYcJU

Entertaining but not special. The vocals overdubbed.

I particularly like the Busters on the Planet version of Like a Lovesong.

Re: Hello Welcome to Bubbletown's Happy Zoo DVD
...Anyone else think it's weird to relisten to this setlist and NOT hear the "live version ending" to One Life?
It almost feels like something's missing. ...Never thought I'd say that.

Great setlist and great performances all around.
these guys were in their prime.
So, this show was recorded, what, like 15 years ago? Where does that leave them now...?

Bunch of old guys.
This is one of my favorite performances too. I really love how Like A Lovesong and Swanky Street sound. And what's really fun is that they aren't trying to be cool, no goofy fluffy hairstyles or overblown outfits.

There's no overdub.

Re: Hello Welcome to Bubbletown's Happy Zoo DVD
According from this site, they performed 20 songs from this venue. If this is true, why they only gave us a handful of those clips and not the whole thing? Instead we're only given a sample of those clips during the interviews.
Don't get me wrong, I like the DVD, I just feel I would've liked it a lot more if they never omitted those clips from the DVD. So you know you can feel like you're getting the whole experience and not just the half of it. lol

Re: Hello Welcome to Bubbletown's Happy Zoo DVD
Well, it says they performed a setlist of 20 songs across 3 different venues, i'm not sure if that indicates they played all 20 at each show. But nevermind that, were can I get a time machine.
