Kinda/sorta. Overall, I think he usually prefers Zildjians (I've seen him use Zildjians in videos as far back as 1990 and as recently as 1998), but sometime in the early-to-mid 2000s, he struck a sponsorship deal with Meinl, so he's been playing in public exclusively with those up until now.
That being said, it looks like he's been dropped from Meinl's roster, which explains why he's gone back to using Zildjians in this video.

That could be for different reasons though idk... Actually, from the pics I got before they started taking cameras and I put mine away, there are some mics, the amps just aren't close mic'd...

No real reaction one way or the other. Pretty much what I've grown to expect from them lately. Not bad, not great. I like the sound but it doesn't really go anywhere interesting.

Another dull video with a not terrible song. And this is the album's title... I think the song was probably 30 seconds longer than it should have been. And Manabe's little guitar thing in the beginning. I don't think they should have ended it with that. It was an amusing tune to begin with, but not to end with.
I'll give a few more listens.

Re: [2012.01.18] TRIAL (New album) + WE ARE FRIENDS(US tour I'd have to agree, the first 2 bars of the riff have (slight) potential, then it just goes off like "whaaat? Why?"  Overall however, I dig the melody and tune in general.  EDIT: Likin' the new axes! Manabe's is pretty wierd, it almost reminds me of a Mockingbird but with a longer top horn instead of bottom.
