Re: Number Girl
What's with the rabid Number Girl praise lately? It's like someone gave the memory of the band a new set of batteries. edit: Zegen vs Undercover with Tabuchi singing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAJeLob096oedit²: DOMO, INAZAWA DESU. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Umz33LUhgIE&t=0m42s (LOL later in the video Tabuchi says "doki doki")

Re: Number Girl
That's Mappiruma Girl, no Zegen - although that would be quite interesting.

"6:30 PM: I began to walk through the frozen city. Men and women were flirting recklessly with their fucking ugly sex organs in broad daylight. A woman was eye raped as her self consciousness was scattered everywhere. It was a disgrace. But they didn’t care, wetting their pants. The heavens were raining. The kids smoked ganja."
Oh, so that's what I was listening to the whole time . . .

Re: Number Girl
I expected something like this out of Mukai's mouth, actually. I wasn't the least bit surprised to read that his lyrics are all sexual frustration and anger and killing and junk. I found that the lyrics didn't so much matter. I already knew the message he was trying to present.
"Flipped-out Inazawa thrives on the drums!!" Makes me fangirl all over.

What's the link? Is it just because of the contrasting sounds. Complementation?
btw: anyone knows a cheerful NG song?

Re: Number Girl
It's the passion and honesty NG presents, isn't it?
Well maybe each answer is unique to the person, but I like the Pillows for the vulnerability they show, especially in their earlier stuff (Please, Mr. Lostman especially. I dunno what's going on with their new stuff.). They worked so hard and put themselves out there, for us, the audience to accept, take in, and with that, we give ourselves to them. It's all a relationship. I have found that busters tend to be very sensitive to that relationship, and are aware of it. I suppose that's why so many are angry at the newer stuff the are releasing. They, including myself, feel that they are no longer giving us themselves. In a relationship, you give yourself to a person, and expect a person to give themselves back. It hurts when they don't. Perhaps I'm diving too deep into this.
And NG. They are giving us themselves too. We know it. That's why we are attracted to them. Again, this is just from my personal experience being an NG fan. When I hear NG play, I feel a bond, that no one else understands. And it feels like the true me comes out when I listen to them.
So an all around summary is, I like them both because I know they gave their all in their music, I appreciate that, and I feel it. People look for a particular sound in music, but also a particular feeling, in which nothing matters but them and the artist. Sorry for the lengthy response, this is all just how I see it.
