Why does everybody put Ellegarden as a guilty pleasure? It's for BAD music you still enjoy, not good music.

But I've grown to know better. And I don't list them alongside bands like THOSE (hate hate hate).

I probably like 80s hair metal (and 80s popular music in general) more than I ought to. You'd think this could be chalked up to nostalgia, but I was only two years old when the decade ended!

I'm not guilty about all the things people might expect (Perfume, Kimura Kaela, Chatmonchy, Yoko Oginome, Crystal King), but one group that's actually slightly embarrassing that I've grown to like a bit is Halcali. :X
Hit song!

Trippy vid!

And probably like most of you, I have some questionable soundtrack likes including kaiju songs.
Gamera song as performed by a little shota:

Also not super guilty about them, but I have a strong affection for Mr. Children, and they're awfully (as Sheer would probably put it) boilerplate Japanese pop.

Mr. Children is the shit, bro. They're the type of band I don't listen to very much, but I appreciate them when I do. MISU CHIRU!

Well, you don't have to feel guilty against me, for that.
It's a nice song ^_^

Noodles are a pretty good band though. Fuzz Hill, God Cable, and Long Long Chain are all super legit.

They sort of fell apart when they lost Junko, and their earlier days I did not care for (Yoko's voice was allll over the place...), but they have a few solid discography entries. Minimum Talk is one of their best songs, no doubt. Ivy and onward, it's a little The Predators-itis. But Ivy and Cover Me, Shakespeare did indeed have some good songs. Lemon Grass Foo Foo is one of my faves.
