Mkay... how come you waited until just now to tell us about this?
When the rumor first surfaced I was skeptical about it. I pretty much just put the whole thing in the back of my mind and dismissed it until more evidence was available to support the claim. After seeing Pezking's scans of this particular album I noticed the resemblance between the guy with the green vest and "Sawao" from the cover of the album in question. A bit of simple detective work gave me enough information to completely debunk the entire thing. I'm just surprised that no one else had actually researched this before.
But the truth is, my vast knowledge of pillows transcends time and space. There are things that I can tell you that haven't even happened yet. For example, in the future, Jun will be fired for an ongoing drug problem. Around the 30th anniversary year, a long haired guy named Arietty will mostly play bass for them. Many years from now, the pillows will do the soundtrack for two new seasons of FLCL. Most the tracks will be re-recorded versions of already released songs, including some that were already included in the original. Don't get your hopes up too much, though. It's easily the worst anime ever created, even worse than the original.

Ok, so it sounds like this doesn't have anything to do with The Pillows whatsoever. Regardless, is the album any good? What does it sound like?

haha, well good thing Flyp didn't mention The Potato Chips to Sawao when he ate dinner with him. People were like "you should of mentioned the potato chips, sawao would go crazy" haha He'd be like "who the hell are they?"

Re: Hip! The Chips
In the pillows bandscore Best Collection, in the biography section, The Potato Chips toured with the pillows in:
Kawasaki Club Citta (Loft Circuit), March 11, 1990 Sendai Izumi City 21 (Loft Circuit '90), May 3, 1990 Sapporo Bessie Hall (Loft Circuit '90), May 5, 1990 Shibuya Public Hall (Live Onstage Vol. 4), August 28, 1990
I can see why people can lump The Potato Chips with the pillows lol

Re: Hip! The Chips
This thread is so old and yet you've contributed new information to it! I find it interesting how you remembered that this topic existed from years ago and that I too remembered this topic as soon as I saw it. How strangely fascinating it feels rereading old posts after so many years.
