 Re: Initial D Arcade Stage
awwww c'mon you guys.
Actually I think i made a thread for this one time like 3 years ago and it went nowhere, which is where I got the hint that no one on IM gives a shit about driving games, especially not ones you can only play in the arcade.
But this game was fun for awhile. A friend and I used to drive to an arcade 40 minutes away from our houses once every week to play a few years back, but we sort of beat everyone that would play there, and it was a dying arcade so they weren't interested at all in getting the new machines, so we got bored and stopped going. If I ever find an arcade with the newer versions I'd happily get back into it, just not as serious as I was before. it's just too expensive.

You're in luck. Seattle's GameWorks has two linked Initial D 4 machines, complete with license dispensers.

 Re: Initial D Arcade Stage
Really? NVM, not all failed thread. I played Arcade stage 3 at a chuck e cheese's when I was dragged there by my sister. I had an advantage because I already knew how Initial d and drift technique works. The machine was suspended by a hydraulic arm and gave the coolest g force ever. I got a good time in irohazaka, but I knew the secret. Its fun shit.

Jam the wheel, look at the railing.

 Re: Initial D Arcade Stage
yeah version 3 doesn't really have drifting, it's just a bunch of fast turning. Version 4 actually has drift physics and less slow down when you hit the wall iirc.

 Re: Initial D Arcade Stage
True, but I'm pretty good at racing games, so that helps.
